It's truly amazing that we did not meet earlier than we did. My best friend was good friends with him for years prior to us really meeting. We had even been in the same place several times without even a moment of seeing one another. It was in 2012 at a Halloween party at my best friends home that we met. He got my number from her the next morning and within a week we started talking. At the time I was still finding my own path after a messy past relationship and was unsure if I was ready to start something new. He too was finding his way and working to build a better life for himself. We took things slow and after about 16 months we decided to make it official. He has been amazing from the start and "I love you" didn't take very long to be said. He has worked so hard to help take down my walls of trust and worry. Showing me that GOD was something that would help me through anything. He is a very loving man, he understand me & helps me through every struggle I face. He is passionate and I have never trusted anyone more. He is a wonderful father to his son and mine (which I am so grateful for). It was the day before our two year anniversary when we made plans to go out and celebrate. I wanted to do something fun that we have not experienced with each other yet. So, we went ice skating. Boy was that entertaining and magical. He was so nervous getting on the ice that he was holding onto the side. He did great and I was so happy. We went around about 4 or 5 times before he fell but, he got up fast and seemed to be just fine. About 15 minutes later we decided to be done and headed for the doorway to get off the ice. As we slowly walked toward the double doors to exit in the seating area he stopped. I thought he was really hurting from when he fell but, I was wrong. He got down on one knee right there in front of everyone. He made my heart smile so much. He is hell bound to make my dreams come true one day at a time.
