Mine is December 12th!! Holding onto some hope that things will be okay once it starts to get warmer out. I have everything already planned and booked so I’m just relaxing and thinking happy thoughts!!😊

My elopement/honeymoon is inJune and so is our reception back home. We are rescheduling our honeymoon for December, getting married at our church the same day we planned on getting married, and canceling our reception.

Our wedding was planned for November, and we made the decision last week to postpone until 2021. We just didn’t want the stress of uncertainty looming over us.

We were April 25th but postponed to September 13th. So far no plans of another postponement, but we’d make that decision by late July.

Mine is October 4th! We’re having a destination wedding. So far no plans to postpone. I’ve just been using this time to finalize our planning and do our registry.

Original wedding date 5/10/2020; postponed to 6/13/2021. We’ll still get legally married on original date with just us, the officiant and 2 witnesses since we already have the marriage license and with have the big ceremony and reception next year.

Original date June 27th postponed to December 12th, 2020. We are not worried about the December date right now.

    Hi Sarah,

I'm sorry you're having to think about postponing your wedding. That's a really tough spot. The general consensus for August weddings is that you should continue to monitor the situation and try to make a decision by the end of May. Or, if you would feel relieved to reschedule for a later date, you should consider postponing sooner for peace of mind.

Have you reached out to your venue? Are they providing any advice or a timeline for postponement decisions? I recommend discussing your back-up plan with them. It may reduce some of your stress. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a waiting game for everyone right now.

You're obviously not alone. Here are some other discussions with August brides:
