I frankly don't want my hubbie under my gown in front of our family and friends fetching for my garter with his mouth. Like Whoa! !

It doesn't gross me out, I think it can be a lot of fun! But I don't like the tradition where the garter gets put on the person who caught the bouquet. I've never been to a wedding that did that, but I understand that could make someone uncomfortable. The weddings I've been to the person who catches the garter just keeps it. However, we're not doing it because we have such few single friends, we don't want to make anyone uncomfortable by pointing out who is single basically.

Not happening. FH liked the idea but I wasn't having it. No bouquet toss either. We are in our 30s and have very few single friends.

I find it crass and won't be participating in it. I'm still going to wear a garter and have FH find it later by himself Smiley winking

I just don't find it as weird or uncomfortable as long as he's just gets the garter and keeps it moving lol. It's a tradition and people expect it. I told FH to just grab it and move on. But then again I don't cringe or get grossed out by something as little as that

Tacky and gross. definitely not doing one.

FH's godmother gifted me a garter at my shower....well this girl's got big thighs so it doesn't even reach much above my knee anyway! So we'll take a picture of me "putting it on" for her and then it'll get packed away. When I said at the shower that we wouldn't be doing a garter toss anyway, FH's (tacky, rude...) step family were shocked because they had never been to a wedding where it wasn't done..

We're skipping it. Our wedding is mostly family and I'm just uncomfortable with the idea.

We aren't doing it. I also find it tacky and gross, personally, and think it just makes the guests uncomfortable.

I'm not sure how this tradition survived the 2000s but it's still around and awful.

We didn't do this. It might have been a thing 50 years ago, but it's outdated and super tacky & uncomfortable for everyone.

FH wanted to do the garter toss but he isn't taking it off my leg in front of people. That was our compromise!

    No way, in hell.

I'm almost 30 and I've never seen a garter thrown. And I'm very happy, about that.

I think it's weird and a little inappropriate. I would skip it.

We are going to do it... We are both on the conservative side so it won't be anything out of the box or to risqué.

I'm not down with this idea either. Pretty sure I'll skip the bouquet toss too.

I just casually asked FH. He said he's never really thought about it and thinks it'd be weird. So we'll be skipping it, but I'm still doing a bouquet toss.

Thankfully, my FH and I were on the same page and decided not to do that. We're not planning a bouquet toss either.

Nope. Not doing it. I don't feel as though this is something for everyone to see. It will be a moment for he and I alone.
