Our budget is 20,000-25,000 but I think its more than generous. Were still debating where to get marry. I dont mind Houston but he wants to go to Cape Cod w/ about 50 of our close friends and family. My splurge getting married in Cape Cod!!!

Our budget was $15,000 to $20,000.00. Our biggest splurge was the reception venue and food. I wouldn't change a thing!

Our budget was $6,000 for 160 people, but as of now, we're at $9,000. The splurge was on the food. Of course, that price doesn't include rings, licenses or honeymoon.

7500 is how much i have to spend right now with my prices i am at 6000 so i have 1500 i can spend or not.

but the biggest thing are the food and the DJ i want my guest to have fun... that is what they will remember. the ceremony is for us and we dont need much (my dress i got for 400 its a 900 doller dress!)

Reception Fee: (ballpark) with Suite: $4500.00 (this is w/food, beverage and linens)

    DJ: $1500.00

    Photography: $2500.00

    Dress and Accessories: $1500.00

    Hair & MakeUp: $300.00

Wow! I think my heart just stopped with some of these budgets lol. I want to see pictures! We are trying to cut cost at every turn, but as of right now we're sitting a little over $5,200. That does not include honeymoon or food (my dad is paying for food). At one point we were around $10,000.

My biggest splurge is my dress. I just ordered it yesterday and it was $1,000 (originally was $1,500). If we can get the rest of the budget down further then I want to get a photo booth. FH's cousin just got married and everyone raved about the photo booth.

The biggest amount spent will be by my dad for the food (about $2,000).

OH I want a broach boquet too! I'm asking all the women to bring me one as a gift to my bridal shower. Then they all can see their broaches in my boquet at the wedding, and hopefully thru out the years be able to wear them randomly. My budget is a rough 10k. The splurg was really the lodge and catering. We have to use their people/catr for the reception which is RIDICULASLY priced - like $75/person for basic - but good - buffet. We have aprox 100 guests. So thats literally eating the majority of our budget!

Our budget's about 10k and we're inviting 160 ppl. Our biggest splurge is--FOOD! Mmmm. Technically it's my fMIL's splurge, as she's providing more than half the financing. SO AWESOME! I didn't anticipate it and was totally prepared to wear a nice bridesmaid's dress as a wedding gown Smiley laugh

My budget is about $2K for 18 guests. My biggest splurge was our reception, although I don't think it was too much, only $600 for lunch and they get to choose whatever they want off the menu. If FH knew how much I was spending, he'd nix the entire thing! I think the biggest splurge THAT HE KNOWS ABOUT was my DIY cake topper it cost me almost $100 and I could have bought one online for that price professionally custom made Smiley sad. He was NOT happy that I "wasted" so much money. Thing is, he was raised soooooo poor and I wasn't so I look at things a little differently, we are working on this issue Smiley smile.

Our budget was 10 but we will be closer to 15 with the honeymoon (7 day cruise to the Bahamas) included. We also splurged on transportation, we are providing shuttle service for our OOT guests because most of them can't drive. My dress cost more than what i originally budgeted because I was going to buy from lightinthebox before I found out that it was a replica site (dodged a huge bullet). Decor was another placed I didnt skimp. The biggest portion of the budget is going to food, venues and drinks approx 4,750.

We didnt have a set budget but knew we wanted to stay under $5k (not including honeymoon). We spent about $3300 and are splitting the costs with my parents. =]

So, our splurge was technically the photog at $700, but our honeymoon cost us about $1200. I'm glad we did it that way. The wedding was great and we all have fun and enjoyed the company of everyone, but we had a BLAST on our honeymoon. Smiley winking

Courtney N: $45k really isn't that much for the Boston area considering we are with the best of the best in terms of vendors. Had I not been such a cheapskate, we would easily have come in well over that. Luckily for us, FH and I make a very good living (and are normally really frugal) so can afford this splurge. Hell, with 3 months to go we've already met our budget goal so I say it pays to be cheapSmiley smile

Our budget started at $10k for a destination wedding for 60 guests, we are sitting at about $13k right now, but I REFUSE to go over $15k because it is coming out of our savings, which we were going to use to purchase our first home. Our biggest splurge so far was our Ceremony/Reception Venue with Food and Cake at $4500, next will be our photographer and my dress both at $1500. Our budget DOES NOT include our invitations, airfare/hotel down there, honeymoon, rings, favors or wedding party gifts. Even with a wedding planner, this wedding has been pricier than I imagined it would be.

Ours is about $20,000 for 200 guests but it might creep up a bit over that. I don't count the food as a splurge as I think it's essential to have great food. My biggest splurge was probably the invitations - we went with letterpress which is pricey but beautiful. Major discount on them too since it's a friend's company doing them Smiley smile

We are around 35K for 75 guests, but that includes our honeymoon and wedding bands. We haven't really cut corners on anything aside from my doing our centerpieces and invites. Flowers are also kept to a minimum. My dress, the food and bev, and our honeymoon we def splurged on.
