What will you be wearing?

Jamie C, on February 18, 2016 at 1:04 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 50

What do you plan on wearing to the airport to go on your honeymoon? Will you be wearing something that says bride or is that to tacky??

I haven't thought about that, but we wore matching Guardians of the Galaxy shirts the last time we went on vacation together...lol. I don't think we're going to do the mr/mrs routine though.

We wore "just married" tees like the total dorks that we are! heh

We ended up getting free cocktails on our Southwest flight and a free room upgrade when we checked in to our first hotel! woohoo! Everyone that passed us congratulated us.. it was so fun lol

Definitely doing something but haven't decided yet. I don't think it's tacky at all.

I'd been thinking a white dress (I have a casual white knit dress with some crochet lace, very comfy) with a cardigan and flats, but I'd probably have to ask for a blanket on the plane. So now I'm thinking about doing a "Bride" or "Mrs." or "Wifey" shirt with jeans, cardigan, and flats. I might still do the dress but wear tights or leggings with it, then peel those and the cardigan off when we arrive.

Whatever I wear, FH is not going to be into a Mr/Hubby shirt.

My main concerns are comfort and layers, but that's followed closely by looking cute because I want to take selfies to scrapbook later. I figure the honeymoon is basically my only opportunity ever to wear a labeled shirt and *not* be tacky, so if not on the plane, probably at some point during the trip.

I don't think wearing a "just married" shirt is tacky. Now, wearing your wedding dress on the other hand...THAT would be tacky Smiley tongue

I didn't buy any "Mrs." stuff for two reasons:

    1. I was afraid it would make me a target (for theft, etc.)

    2. I didn't want to spend the money for something I'd only wear once. I didn't buy any "bride" stuff for the same reason.

We aren't flying but we have quite a drive to our destination and I plan on wearing a bride shirt to show off when we finally get to our destination. I don't think it's tacky at all

I plan on being super tacky and dorky and getting the matching Mr and Mrs shirts. I can always wear the tank to the gym or around the house. It will make us laugh wearing them and to look back and be like how silly were we lol.

If you're proud of it......Rock It!! Who cares what people think. Also.. side note you never know who may offer you a complimentary drink, or random general well wishes. Seriously how is that not fun?

Not sure whether it's tacky or not, BUT I've heard that newlyweds sometimes get extra perks when traveling, so maybe if you guys wear that you'll get extra stuff, like @Kris Smiley smile

Honestly considering team rocket t-shirts for our first day home from the wedding cruise.

We also walked around the casinos when we first got Vegas in our tees (was planning on changing, but I was enjoying the tackiness) and some drunk dude gave us a handful of chips to gamble with him! hehe Strangers were really keen on celebrating with us!

Still have the tees... comfy PJs lol

I dont think its necessarily tacky, but i do find it kinda silly. its just not "us"

i'll probably wear my standard travel uniform of leggings, a t shirt, flip flops, and a sweater in case the plane is cold. with a bathing suit underneath in case it takes awhile for our luggage to get to our cabin and we want to hit the pool Smiley smile

I wore a Bride sweat suit! Tank top with a blingy-ring, and pants that said "Bride" on the butt and a zip up sweatshirt that said "Bride" on the back. We also got MR and MRS t-shirts... you only get to do it once!

I love cheesy stuff like that and am still deciding on the plane ride attire. I was thinking of the attached - since I like the regular words (wife vs. wifey and husband vs. hubby). I was thinking of doing mine in USC colors and his in UCLA (although maybe a kind of antagonizing start to the trip!) - then we could wear them on rivalry game day too :p.

I thought the "honeymoon-bound" ones were cute, but then that's really just one-time use since it's not even accurate any more on the return trip. Also, we'll be flying to winter in the southern hemisphere and I tend to get cold on planes so may get a Mrs. T hoodie or something like that to wear on top.

Edit: I will never get used to touchscreen typing...
