What surprises do you have planned for your wedding?

Well, we’re building a TARDIS from Doctor Who to “arrive in” mid-processional, so probably that! We’re both big Doctor Who fans, and it’s my one wedding wish. My mom is also a huge Doctor Who fan and she was kind enough to lend us her birthday for our wedding day, so I can’t wait to see her surprise. Keeping it from her has been SO hard!

Our wedding date is 6-6-20, our best friends is 6-8-18 and my parents is 6-7-03. So we are doing a surprise Anniversary dance after our dances (father-daughter, mother-son and our dance) for them and we are going to invite all married couples to join in.

I surprised my husband! His favorite cake "flavor" is "confetti" cake. We originally had told our bakery that we would be doing white on the top layer (the layer we cut into). I had them switch it to confetti cake, and he found out when we cut into it at the reception! It was a fun moment!

We want to make it snow indoors as it is a December wedding. Looking into renting a machine now.

We will have a guys dance and a girls dance and invite anyone who wants to to join. Girls will obviously be able to join the guys dance and vice versa, it will just be led by the groom and his men, and me and my girls. The guys dance will be Coincidance (very stupid and silly song, but one of our favorites), and the girls dance will be the hokey pokey.

We had choreography done for our first dance! And we have kept our first dance a secret from absolutely EVERYONE! Our only secret for the wedding haha

Nothing has come to fruition yet, but I am trying so hard to get a special guest to come to our wedding.

I'm sending out invitations to The Obamas and JK Rowling (which I'm sure we're only going to get a letter back from them), celebrity chefs Simon Majumdar and Alton Brown (FHs favorites), and some local figures.

Yep! Behind some sort of drape. Our DJ will play the sound effects, the drape will be pulled back and we'll step out.

So extra and dramatic, but I can't wait!

Our "surprise" is our memory table for those who have passed and we will be having the DJ play a song in their memory. Even though people probably expect it we haven't actually told anyone of our plans.

We haven’t told our family there will be champagne before and after the ceremony. We also have a “live event” painter who will be capturing our day. After the ceremony our immediate family along with us, help him paint the background. Then he paints during the reception. However it looks when the reception ends is the finished product and we get to keep the painting. It’s a total surprise and probably one of the things I’m most excited for!

My daughter (5) and his daughter (3) are walking me down the aisle instead of my dad (this is my second wedding.) We are doing a special dance for FH, myself and our girls. And we are doing a whiskey blending during the ceremony.
