What signs are needed

Heather, on December 18, 2018 at 3:21 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 17
I’m planning on crafting our signs for the wedding and I’m just looking for some insight on what signs we really need or are useful to have. I’d like to start these in the next few months so I’m not overloaded this time next year.

What signs are you doing?

or

What signs do you like to have as a guest?

We’re doing a welcome sign, a “please sign our guestbook” sign, an unplugged ceremony sign, and probably a “please leave a video for the newlyweds” sign (I think we’re going to have a camera on a tripod for guest videos since we won’t have a videographer).

Thatll probably be all for us! If you’re having favors (we arent) I’d get a sign for those too

The fewer signs the better. I think very few signs are necessary, if any. I like welcome signs, especially if you're at a venue where there are multiple events going on or multiple spaces where the event may be. If you choose not to have programs, a sign with the bridal party members and an itinerary might be useful.

We’re having a welcome sign, a guest book sign (actually, it’s a “message in a bottle”, but same idea), two signature cocktail signs (one for each bar), and a favors sign. That’s it!

We have a big welcome sign, a bar sign listing all of the drinks, a "find your seat" sign with our escort cards, and that's all. I don't want to overload people and honestly signs are pretty unnecessary unless they actually serve a purpose.

We are having a lot of signs but the wedding theme is from booksso we have a lot of quotes and whatnot

reay I don’t think any signs are “required”

depending on venue a welcome sign can be helpful

if you have a non traditional guestbook then I can see a sign explaining that as needed and I’m including one for my traditional guestbook because I think it’s cute

Depending on venue maybe powder room directions

I think that any gift table should probably be signified at the place you want your gifts left

and a sign telling everybody to take their favors if applicable

any special instructions like maybe if you want everyone to know there’s a photo booth or characture artists at the bar

any special signature cocktails are always nice to advertise

really i I would say they aren’t required for anything “common sense” but are very nice in my opinion for everything even those that are common sense

it also depends on your crowd and level of formality of the event in my opinion

Just a seating chart, guestbook and cards/gifts sign for us.

No directional signs because our venue's front door is very noticeable and nothing is outside.

No signs for a dessert bar, cocktail, photo booth, etc. We felt these were all frivolous expenses we didn't need.

And no unplugged sign either, our officiant will be making an announcement before the ceremony.

The video sign is a great idea! I was going to bring our camera as well but was thinking how I’d get good footage if it’s just sitting there. This is genius!! Thank you ❤️

See like signs. I think they are cute. We are doing a cupcake sign , a sign for our wands, a guest book sign, gift table sign and a welcome sign. We are getting it catered and the will have food labeled. If you want you can have o. Just personal preference.

It's great that you have a different opinion, I'm sure the OP is glad to hear them all. No need to reply to my comment just because you don't agree with what I'm saying.

Thank you everyone! I just don’t wanna over do the signage but also don’t want people to feel lost due to lack of signage 🤣

We didn’t have a single sign! No one got lost or had any issues not knowing what to do or where to go.

We are having a welcome to our wedding sign that is also an unplugged ceremony sign. We are also having a smaller one saying “please sign out guest book.”

I’m doing a welcome sign, hashtag, a sign at the road, and little cards for our buffet. And a remembrance sign with a candle and pictures.
