What Is/Was Your First Dance Song?

On top of the world by Imagine Dragons, our favorite band. And we were on top of the world that day! We did a choreographed dance!

Fh does not like most music and does not like to dance. So I Decided since it's also his wedding we should go more his way but still wedding friendly. Going with fade to black or nothing else matters by Apocalyptica.

@FutureSeptMrs - That is such a fun song! Ah and that's awesome y'all did a choreographed dance too! I was throwing that idea around in my head, but I don't think FH would want that. hehe.

@Randee - I youtubed those and they sound very nice!! That's awesome of you and a neat way to incorporate something that he likes into the wedding.

@kate - One can never go wrong with Eric Clapton. That's a wonderful song, one of my favs from him.

@FutureMrsD we only choreographed the chorus and fast "slow danced" to the verses! It was a lot of fun and way more memorable to do our favorite song instead of a typical top 10 first dance song

@FutureMrsD...... I love the song. One day before we got engaged he said if we get married this is going to be our first dance song. Ever since I knew it had to be! He picked it. In my world if FH is happy, I am happy!

Frankie Valli -- Can't Take My Eyes Off You. Our first trip together was NYC and FH took me to the Jersey Boys show. When this song came on we knew it was "ours." :-D

Amazed...but not the Lonestar version the Boyz II Men version, because we are both older and have seen them 3 times here in Vegas at their Mirage residency. It just worked out to be the perfect song for us by a nostalgic group.

Our song is How Deep is Your Love by the Bee Gees. We wanted a classic song that isn't overplayed. We are young but it's a great 70's love song to bring back! :-)

We are dancing to Wanted by Hunter Hayes

So my FH and i have been together 4.5 years and we still dont have an "our song" we never even thought about it until we talked to our dj....ever since we talked about it to our dj we've been trying to find one and we just cant. we cant agree on a certain one. as of right now our favorite song is happy man by thomas rhett though. if no other songs we like come out by june well probably pick that one.

@LBee59 - I am in the same boat as you. We've been together for 5 years. And I never gave much though to it. At one time I wanted it to be "1,000 years" and then "From This Moment On", then "Thinking Out Loud" I think I've changed songs about a dozen times. FH and I don't really listen to the same music, he's more of a sports radio and talk radio guy. I have two years to decide though.

@chasity - I saw Kip in concert last year and he played that song. It's a great first dance song!

Stand By Me by Prince Royce (it's a great upbeat song that is in both Spanish and English -- great way to blend our families).

Originally we were going to do Wonderful Tonight (as it was one of our first slow dance songs together at my Senior Prom back in 2006), however, we decided against it - as it was "too slow" for our first dance together (in our opinions). But it'll be our last dance together that night - it'll be a private dance for the couple, while everyone begins to leave to get ready for the sparkler exit.

Ours is Forever Mine by The O'Jays because I'm old school and he just let me pick whatever song I wanted to
