What is your pee plan?

Haha...for all of you brides planning to wear shape wear, what is your plan for going to the bathroom? My dress is poofy, I will need help from my bridesmaids to pee, but I just don't see how I'd be able to pull spanx on and off successfully.

That is a good solid plan...and HOLY CRAP I didn't even thing about my period. Now that I'm thinking about it, there is a good chance I'll be on mine too. There is no way I can take off my dress, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do....I'm not about to ask someone else "handle that."

Haha....I am sure I can probably ask my mom or cousin, a sister....someone but I would rather not if I can help it.

I honestly thought about this WHEN I was shopping for dresses! My requirements were "no ballgowns" (they're just not for me) and "I have to be able to pee by myself!" Ended up with a mermaid dress, but it was easy enough to lift it up and go. But my pee plan? I just made sure to use the handicapped stall, and made sure someone was with me, just in case! Which is fine - because you know us ladies tend to go in pairs lol.

I also didn't wear any shapewear - my dress was fitted so perfectly it did the job of holding it all in on its own lol.

That is good it worked so well for you. I was definitely not thinking about going to the bathroom when shopping for my dress, but I should have been.

There was a bride on here awhile back that posted a picture of her going pee sitting backwards. She said it worked like a charm. My dress is fit and flare so I am gonna try just pulling my dress up and sitting backwards on the toilet.

I wouldn't have either - but one of my bridesmaids saved my behind with this! When I was looking at dresses online one day, she had told me to take into account the "pee-friendly-factor." She wore a huge ballgown for her wedding about 10 years ago (Before the internet had solutions like the contraptions they make today lol) and it was a 3 woman job!

Well I wouldn't know specifically but it would be quite easier! I think it also depends how poofy haha. Mine is A-line so I think I can manage but if yours is ball gown, you may still need help! Haha

I thought i was gonna wear shapewear until I tried my dress on for my seamstress. She said I absolutely dont need shapewear, just maybe a panty that comes up to my belly button.

I haven't gotten my dress yet but both of my sisters are going to be bridesmaids so I planning on asking them for help- if I need it. As long as my sisters help with my dress I think I'll be able to move quickly for bathroom breaks.

It actually covers your crotch so you don't feel like you are going commando at all. When you sit to pee the slit widens enough so you pee without getting anything on the spanx. They are very comfortable and make you feel supported and like you are wearing underwear. I don't go commando either nor do I like that feeling but I highly recommend these.

p.s. I actually started my period the evening of my wedding and I had no issue with these. These cover you enough so you feel protected like regular underwear but open enough to make peeing easy and a one person job.

I had a huge poofy ballgown but didn't wear shapewear underneath! As long as you have a bridesmaid or two to help you gather the skirt and get it out of the way, you should easily be able to take on and off your shapewear! They also recommend sitting backwards to pee - it feels weird but it really works!

Don't worry - you aren't the first person who's thought of this! Smiley laugh We've got a great article with tips on how to pee in your dress:
