What is the ideal budget for a wedding in Nyc?

Ooof, that's a loaded question.

A quick google search will often tell you that an "average" NYC wedding is north of $40k, sometimes more like $50/$60k.

We spent about $30k, which I know is considered "cheap" by NYC standards.

It's a matter of season, wedding size, choices on vendors, and how quick or slow you want to plan. We went with quick, and actually saved money that way. But that's not always the case.

As the PP mentioned, it’s difficult to give an average budget for a New York wedding as many factors have to be taking into consideration like date, guest list size, what vendors you choose, the venue, etc.
