We have to have the food catered from the venue, as they do not allow any outside food. Their plated meals begin at $130pp and their buffet meals begin at $140pp. Hors d'oeuvres are $7 per piece. I am trying to be creative and make my own menu to provide to the chef and see what pricing he will come back with. So far that has been the cheaper route.

The venue I have in mind is about $110pp, but it's all-inclusive so that includes apps, dinner, dessert, and drinks. There's a really tempting upgraded bar option too, out of our budget at the moment but something I'm keeping in mind if an extra pocket of money springs up (HA!)

We are doing outside catering. It's 17.50/pp but that doesn't include alcohol because that's a separate vendor. The original menu was:

st louis style ribs, georgia chopped pork, and country roasted chicken with brocolli, mashed potatoes, and pineapple steaks as sides. (each person gets each meat !)

We added salad, and I am going to possibly do a vegetarian ask on the RSVP card and order those as necessary because I have definitely one bridesmaid who will need it and maybe only 2 other guests.

Around $20 per person. That includes the salad, rolls, entrée, and non-alcoholic drink. We are offering free beer and wine to guests that don't want water or pop with their meal. Possibly doing some sort of "snack" tray later on in the night.

Is anyone doing a pizza bar? I think the idea is different, and everyone loves pizza!

In Indiana we are having a 3 course plated meal that is $38/pp with two entrée choices. Full open bar is $28/pp. Appetizers are $2 a piece so will be $15/pp or so on average. When you add in venue rental and labor charges our average comes out to be $122/pp. We haven't decided on our menu until we do the tasting and try what we like!

We did buffet style. We had craved sirloin with au jus and horseradish sauce, chicken parmigiana, penne and meatballs, salad, mixed steamed veggies, mashed potatoes and gravy, fruit trays, and veggie trays. We also had an open bar of beer and wine. It was around $30pp. If under 21 it was around $24pp.

They broke it down by price per food item and then also by age groups too.

    Roast sirloin

    Baked chicken

    Italian sausage with peppers

    Mashed potatoes

    Gravy

    And it included our cake

This was in a suburb of chicago.
