What did you forget?

MrsMarshall, on September 11, 2014 at 7:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 35

I am paranoid, and I am sure I will forget something on my wedding day. Is there anything that you forgot to take with you or forgot to do on your big day?

I havent done my BAM yet...but I'm relaxing on my HM, and of course playing on WW... Our biggest thing was we forgot to hang to gazebo flowers!! They were laying in the shade under a big tree and that's where they stayed! It wasn't until we were saying our vows that we realized it!! And we didn't care lol.

I made a lovely sign to hang on the entry door of my venue. Forgot it at home :-(

I don't think I forgot anything, but I also threw absolutely everything I could think of into my bag. Paperclips? Might be useful, bring them! A lighter? Sure! I had so much stupid stuff. I didn't have intricate decor so luckily that was easy to contain to a couple boxes and I dropped it all off at rehearsal with the DOC.

I should have brought some headphones so I could have just had some time to myself listening to music. It was a bit much being constantly surrounded by people and playing host. Maybe that would have been rude though.

I forgot a radio to put on while we were getting ready. It was awkwardly quiet (because we started super early) until I put music on my phone but it got poor reception so it kept going in and out.

I forgot my hair comb at home! I had to have a BM run and get it.

I also forgot to keep the rings all together so that the photographer could get pictures of all three together. I had to have a BM track down my groom and get his ring.

I forgot scissors or rather never thought about bringing any. Otherwise that we were golden. I had so many lists going, checking them twice, nothing was forgotten or misplaced. I had people in charge of them which could have been a disaster, but it wasn't.

My garter! But I didn't want to throw it anyway, so I wasn't upset at all.

My something blue was a hankie, that remained in my purse instead of being in my hand.

We also forgot to put out the guest book for people to sign.

I had my 'something old' (my grandmother's pearls) in my hand to walk out the door, but then it took two people to lift the dress, so I put them down, and that was it! If you are observant, you will notice that half of my 'first look' pictures' were taken with no pearls and the other half with.

And relax-- as long as you have your wedding license and your groom and officiant show up, everything else is completely expendable. Smiley sexy

I forgot bobby pins and hair spray and my hair fell and I wish I had brought my purse downstairs (it was in the bridal sweet) It had lip stick and gloss and I could have used a reapplication.

A friend went to a wedding on Saturday and the bride "lost" her shoes. I guess she had to borrow shoes from her BM and the BM had to wear the ratty flip flops the bride wore to the church. No one noticed until the bride made a stink about getting her flip flops back for the reception.

My favors were forgotten by my dad as well a couple other small things.... He didn't realize until he was about 3.5 hours from our venue with a 13 one way trip. I was kinda upset but quickly got over it. In the end, no one noticed.
