what color outfit did you wear for engagement pictures?

I wore jeans with a purple top and FH wore burgundy, and then we both changed tops. I wore a green top and he wore a green and white plaid button down.

We took pictures in the woods by a lake, so it looked nice

For our casual pictures I wore a white shirt and jeans. For our classy look I wore blue pants and a black shirt. We also had one where I was in a dress with a navy sweater.

I think if you always wear black, you should wear that for your photos. You want to look like yourself. If you want some color maybe add a color pop with a necklace or scarf if that would be you. I agree color looks nice in photos but you shouldn't wear something that doesn't feel like you.

I have taken two sets of e-pics (once with a friend who hobbies in photography and was paid in alcohol and once with our wedding photographer because we decided it was worth the money to get to know him better and feel comfortable with him before the wedding). For the first set, I wore a creamy tan colored lace sun-dress and FH wore black jeans and a washed out denim looking button-down. For the second set I wore black skinny jeans, black booties, and a very very light pink/peach (almost white) sweater, and FH wore his black jeans (again) and a dark teal sweater.

My avatar is one (a yellow dress) and some more below. Personally I think if you wear black a lot, go ahead and wear it in your photos...if you want to color it up more, you can do it with a scarf or jewelry.

As for the lavender/grey combo, I think it looks great together. Its hard to tell if it will wash you out without photos of the clothes and you though

I wore a purple plain shirt & jean capri pants with a pair of flats. Then had to change to flip flops because I stepped in dog crap!

I wore my favorite dress (which I recycled for our rehearsal dinner) since our photographer told us to "be yourself, not a bride and groom"

We did two engagement sessions (long story... I won one and the other was with our wedding photographer). We both wore black in the first one and then the second one I wore a white lace dress and then a red sweater with skinny jeans and tall brown boots. I'm waiting for the pics from our second session, the red shirt is the one I got for a sneak peek.

I ended up wearing all shades of purple. And not on purpose

I am in the same boat as you. I ALWAYS wear black, blue or gray, and I don't think I do it on purpose, but it just ends up that way. I bought a dress for our epics in a couple weeks and I ended up choosing black. My plan is to make it pop with some color from jewelry or something. If not, our second more casual outfit I don't plan on wearing black. I'll probably end up wearing a blue top. I don't think it's bad to wear black because its your normal. I got some criticism from a few coworkers about the black because they said it wasn't a funeral, but to me it just seems normal so idgaf. Just go with whats you and be happy

I ALWAYS wear black (i'm literally wearing black pants, black shirt today!) I wore black tights, black shoes a black and grey fitted dress and a maroon and black trench for our pictures. I was comfortable and it looked amazing for the setting.

I changed clothes 3 times lol! I first wore jeans w/white jacket. Then a red dress with a white blazer and finally a sexy black dress.
