What are your views on having a wedding cake vs. Cupcakes?

We're doing cupcakes so we can have 3 different flavors. Our baker is making a topper for us to cut.

I like cake- cupcakes seem too trendy whereas a traditional wedding cake is more timeless. Whatever you want though- it's your day! One question though, is why do you think you would have leftover cake but not leftover cupcakes??

I definitely prefer cake, both as a decoration and for eating. But I'm not really anti-cupcake either.

We are probably going to have one to two tiers for us and wedding party then cupcakes. I love the idea!

We are doing small 2 tier plus ice cream sundae bar!! Yay! So excited!

I vote cake, to me it's more formal. Guests can still take home cakes slices too if they want just provide boxes if your venue doesn't.
