What are you spending on centerpieces?

Josh's Girl, on September 28, 2012 at 10:17 PM Posted in Planning 0 20

I am starting to think about centerpieces and I am just curious, what are you spending, and how much is your budget? Share a picture if you would like.

I am thinking around 30 dollars per centerpiece and I will need 12. You?

I am doing real touch. Trying to keep the cost below $100 for about 20 tables.

We are doing pumpkin center pieces with mums in the middle of some and the we will drill circles randomly and place a candle in it. We aren't sure how many tables we are having yet. But that is our plan... We are growing the pumpkins our self so really I just need to purchase the mums and candles.

That is the one thing people really underestimate the price of. I have no clue what you are using, but even glass vases cost $20+.

Floral centerpieces are not cheap. Real flower centerpieces typically run around $100 each. Quality fake flowers aren't exactly cheap either. Fake floral centerpieces very greatly based on the type of flower, but I'd average about 60% of the real flower price.

My centerpieces were my huge wedding budget score. I used candle centerpieces I found at Family Dollar on clearance. They cost me $1.80 each!

This is the area i have been working on myself. i am definitely getting dollartree vases, etc and lots of candles. diy as much of my table centerpieces as i can but IF i go with real flowers they'll probably come from sams or costco if not the fake. my relative is a wedding planner/coordinator and has a partner that could get me good fake ones at a "friend discount". hoping to not take the focus away but make them appealing and unique to us

I have all the different sized mason jars from half-pintto quart. I'm purschasing the candles and gold ribbon and some heart/ lock and key charms to dangle. I'm borrowing the mirrors to put under each cluster of jars. I doubt it's going to cost much more than $1 a table.

We had wooden birdcages filled with flowers. The birdcages were 50 each (unfortunately 10 dollars of that was just shipping costs) and then we supplied them to our florist who filled them for 30 dollars. So all in all, each centerpiece was about $80. We had 8 tables.

Roses 20, one for each table. Then some on the fireplace behind the head table. Now we know we can get 3 dz at kroger for about $36 dollars. 1 tall vase 12" $1.00 1 for each table. We got 40 punch cups for $8.00 We will use 10 on each table. We got a lot of craigslist votive holders like 144 for $10 dollars and we had a LOT here in boxes. We bought someones water marbles/beads 10 full 1 gallon bags plus battery tea lights for 20 dollars. Candles from the after christmas sale at walmart. 23 cents a box of 6. We bought 60 boxes for 13.00, we will have plenty left over or to resell. $107 dollars for 20 tables plus the head table and the fireplace behind the head table. So it will be about 4.50 a table. We plan to reuse, resell most of it. oops forgot the candy dishes. We had 7 and collected 16 more. did not pay over a dollar for each, some depression glass. I love yard sales.

I bought my 8 vases, 8 plates, 8 bunches of flowers,2 bags of river rocks and 2 bags of moss from the Dollar Tree. The total was approx. $28 for all of these. My butterflies were $2 from Michael's. (2 packs of 4 at $1 apiece) We had 8 tables. That comes out to a little more than $2 a table. Woohoo, we scored! Lol.

Ours costs about $60 total for 15 tables. I bought 15 white lanterns from IKEA on sale and I printed out family photos on Vellum the same size as the glass on the lanterns. I then tapped the pictures inside the glass. I put tulle around the top of the lantern. I will place a battery powered candle inside. I would post a picture, but my camera is MIA. My cat thinks it's a toy and carries it around

It is senseless to spend so much on centerpieces.Everything is for one day and thats it.I say go to dollartree.com where you can buy vases in bulk and look at some ideas on google you like.
