Weird to have "dinner" at 4pm for Sunday Wedding?

I don't think so. You really would want it to end a little earlier because people have to go to work the next day. Keep it at 4.

I think serving dinner at 4:00 is perfectly fine, especially on a Sunday. No one wants to be out real late when they have to go to work the next morning.

Nah, im Italian, so we eat REALLY early on Sundays anyhow, lol... like 3pm, lol....so id be ok with it! LOL Cake comes right at like what....530 or 6... MMMM and then party and late night snacks.. WOOOO lol

I agree with Sabrina - we aren't Italian, but Sunday dinner is a fluxuating thing. I think 4 is kinda perfect.

I think eating dinner at 4 is great - just make sure you let guests know on a wedding website or something the general timeline so they can play ahead with an early/light lunch. We're serving our "dinner" during lunch time since we picked the Sat afternoon spot so we could be within our budget. People will just be thrilled to be eating!

Absolutely not! i think it's very considerate actually, esp since i'm sure the majority of your guests have to go to work the next day.

i would be happy actually bc it will probably get me home in time to catch the re-run of bridezillas!

Our ceremony is at 1:30 and we are starting the reception at 3:00. So I am guessing dinner is going to be pretty close to your time. I figure on a Sunday, people could get home early to get ready for work the next day.

Kodi, first off fabulous question!

I think that having dinner at 4pm is just right for a Sunday wedding in October. The light will be getting poor around 5-6pm, and since it's a Sunday guests will be antsy to get home and settled before work the next day. Having your dinner at 4pm will be just about dusk in October and that will allow for a few hours of dancing and having fun post dinner! You want to make sure that you have enough time for toasts, dances, garter/flowers, and saying hello to all of your guests.

Should be okay, as long as you provide a list of things to do/places to see to your guests for the lag time between ceremony and reception.

I think it's just fine, but I would do a lighter dinner and maybe offer a snack a little later if your guests are hungry from dancin'!
