Wedding Summer 2020

Is there anyone still going through with their wedding this summer 2020? What about June weddings? Now that things are opening back up. Anyone just doing a ceremony? Or would you still do both with less guest?

We just canceled our wedding, but are still getting married with just our parents and siblings at the ceremony. Our wedding was planned for June 27, and that's the date we still plan on saying I do. We sent the cancellation to our guests and vendors last night. It was hard, but the stress of not knowing and playing the guessing game was also brutal. I am just happy we will still be married this year ♥️

We just made the decision to postpone our June 26th wedding to next June. Our state is still on lockdown until May 20th and we just have so much to do. We figured even if things slowly opens back up my then, it won’t be the wedding we’ve been dreaming of because people just won’t feel comfortable enough to let loose and enjoy themselves. We will be having a small ceremony on our original date with immediate family because we are ready to be husband and wife!

So far, we are still moving forward with our August 23rd wedding. We know it will probably still be restricted to an extent and we may have less people there, but as of now we will move forward provided we can still manage to have at least 30 people or so from our 100 invites. If we are restricted to only have events of 10 people by June , we may reconsider just having a small ceremony and having the celebration sometime next year.

Mine is scheduled for July 25th. I plan to cut my guest list of 150 down to closer family and friends only but I’m not planning to reschedule unless things get worse.

We’re most likely canceling as well it’s heartbreaking but my fiancé lost his job and now our finances are cut in half we just can’t keep up with saving for this wedding in top of our bills and for the wedding to not look the way we wanted it. We’re just eloping this year and will do like an I do bbq next year and celebrate with everyone when hopefully it’s safer and then we plan to jus renew our vows on a cruise with hopefully close friends and family if they choose to come we have always wanted to get married on a cruise and are looking at this as maybe a sign to do the things we really wanted to do and that make us happy instead of trying to make this wedding work for others who wanted to be there because in the end it is our money and our lives that are now hurting from all this.

We have decided to go through with ours no matter what. FH said if we postpone he wants to do a one year renewal but I personally want to start a family next year so having a big wedding isn’t really in my plans. We’re hoping we can at least have 100 people at our venue 🤞🏼 Our state is opening back up and tomorrow they will finally announce numbers for gatherings.

I’m in WA and still plan on having my July wedding. The way it’s looking, we may be in phase 3 or 4 by July. We don’t want to postpone because of Covid, my FH and I are just ready to be married.

I just posted about this. Ours is 7/25 (moved from 5/24). We are in Texas. Current guest count is 83....we can't cancel our venue, only postpone, so we are moving forward in the following preferences:

    1. Getting married on 7/25 with all of the guests who feel comfortable coming.

    2. Getting married on 7/25 with 50 or fewer in attendance but still at venue, etc. just with a reduced headcount. We'd then throw a party after we buy a house at our home and once things are sane again, maybe next summer on our anniversary.

    3. Getting married on 7/25 with 10 people and rescheduling the party for next year.

We are in Arkansas. Thankfully we didn’t get hit bad...but we’re still doing slow reopening by phases. Right now gyms and salons are back up. Restaurants next week. Praying I get the news I want tomorrow 😩 this is definitely not the wedding festivities I ever imagined
