Wedding Playlist

Sydney, on August 25, 2019 at 12:43 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3
We booked a DJ and I have exactly 5 songs picked for the reception. But no walking down the aisle song. I’m super anxious ab being absolute center of attention so I’m kinda iffy on doing the spotlight dances.

Thoughts, opinions, songs and advice are much appreciated! 💛💛💛

I feel ya on this! I haven't figured out what songs to play for the processional, but I do have our recessional song. For dances we are only doing our first dance and are scraping the father and daughter dance and the son and mother dance. My dad and his mom hate being the center of attention and so do I, so the less time I have to be in front of everyone with the spotlight on me the better I'll feel.

Your dj could definitely recommend some songs to you. But think about songs you just really like or anything meaningful to you/to your relationship

    Hey there Sydney!

I have some really great WeddingWire articles to share with you -

They’re packed with song ideas for that walk down the aisle and your reception!

I can totally understand why you would be uncomfortable with all the attention which comes from the spotlight dances. You don’t have to include them in your wedding if you don’t want to! That’s super important to know.

If you do, perhaps you could do all the spotlight dances at once (apart from first dance of course) so the attention would not solely be on you? I’ve heard of weddings where the father-daughter dance and mother-son dance has happened at the same time and to the same song.
