Wedding planner or hotel coordinator?

I’m having my DW in Cancún and we are using the resort’s wedding planner... it’s already included in my package so I’m not spending more than I have to.. so far she has been great!!! Very patient with my stupid questions lol

So far it seems like a DW hotel wedding seems more expensive then a local wedding since I have to invite less guests. Did you budget out a local and DW, I just started my search.

I did little research and it was coming out to be about 15K for about 80 guests for the main things only (venue, food and so on) but it’s not what I wanted.. I only looked because it’ll be more convenient for everyone else.. soo I decided to do what I’ve always wanted, a DW... I originally wanted Paris... but of course that was way more expensive, I looked into Jamaica as well, but same, Puerto Rico (couldn’t find an all inclusive resort) so we agreed on Cancún... my FH is Mexican so it works out..

I did so much research on every place I wanted, then some more once we decided on Cancún. I compared the resorts, their wedding packages, and the stay prices. I narrowed it down to about 5 and emailed them and then narrowed it once after that. We are using a travel agent as well because I don’t want to deal with my guests asking me a million questions.. My travel agent actually sent me a list of about 15 resorts (it had some of the ones I had already disregarded or my top 5)... then I compared some more with the rest and ultimately I decided on Finest Playa Mujeres... their reviews are awesome and their wedding package was the best for me.. we have 60 guests as of now and we are looking at $12K. That includes our 1 week stay there which we are making our honeymoon as well, our flight, my dress (I don’t plan on paying more than $500 for it), his attire (not wearing a suit), the wedding package which is all inclusive, my invites..

I think a DW price is definitely based on location and style... the more you want to spurge on the more you’ll spend.. I’m not adding any extra decorations or photography or anything that I have to pay additional for. Everything I’m getting is what’s already included in my wedding package...
