So I decided to make my own wedding planner notebook and I'm trying to decide what/how many sections I will need. Suggestions? Have any of you done this?

I made myself one when I got engaged. I found a cute free download via pinterest and printed everything. The only part I've honestly used at all was the budget. My guestlist is all online. All of my inspiration has been on pinterest. All of the contacts have been electronic. I did make myself a completely different book, though, with all of the venues we looked at, as well as any of the information that we got from bridal shows (fliers from photographers, florists, etc) all for reference.

I have printed copies of all my contracts, and payments made in my binder.

I have the following sections in mine:

    Budget

    Guest Count

Venue/catering (catering is included with venue for me)

    DJ

    Florist

    Photographer

    Wedding Dresses

    Bridal Party Attire

I have a few templates from offbeat bride, like guest list, seating chart, vendor contact list. They are excel spreadsheets and you fill in the information. I've also created my own spreadsheet for my separate vendors so i could compare their packages and pricing. I keep my signed contracts in this folder, any printed out ideas/inspiration. Some planners have bridal party contact information all in one spot, budget, list of questions to ask venue/vendors, any information you need to keep up with for later that you may get from vendors now. I have a blank section where i write my little layout of tables and what i need decor wise or to rent and how the room will be laid out. I add ideas and pricing information, bridesmaid dress ideas, cost and locations of where i want to go and appointments, fittings, i have a calendar as well where i write in my meetings and "to-do".

I found templates on Martha Stewart Weddings and wedplan.com for the different sections. I also got those plastic page covers to put all my contracts in. I also used this youtube video to help me as well! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEbFKiI5KjM&t=373s

I'd do a section for each type of vendor, then in each section have space for 5-10 quotes for each vendor. I have a Google Sheet for this, but it would be the same in a notebook. I put the name of the company, quoted price, and what services are provided. It's way easier to keep track of everything that way.

If you go on pinterests I think they have links to free printables as well.

    Here's one.

Suggestion though, by the time you waste all that ink printing all those pages, you can buy one at Joann's or Michael's with a 60% off coupon and get it for $15. Most color toner cartridges are more than $15. I got a huge Planning binder from Gartner Studios from Joann's for that price.
