Wedding Paper Divas vs. Minted? (or Etsy?)

Melissa, on June 15, 2016 at 6:32 PM Posted in Planning 0 55

Does anyone have personal experiences with those companies? Pros/cons? What company or vendor have you used for save the dates and/or invitations? Show me pictures too if you have them! Love see real examples!

Thank you!

I am using WPD as well, I love them! I looked at minted, I just preferred the designs on WPD

I got my invites from WPD (just liked the design better), but if you can find a design you like on Minted and weren't planning on calligraphy, the free envelope printing is really appealing (I sent mine through my printer, which didn't like my envelope size so I to send mine through the printer three times each on average, which was painful - and I only had 120 invites). After that experience, I ordered non-matching escort cards (and menu cards) from Minted.

ETA: Save the dates matched my invitations and came from WPD

I loved our STD and Invites from Minted. Their foil-printing is amazing.

We just ordered STDs from Minted yesterday, and I'm anxiously waiting to see the proof! I thought the quality of the samples from both Minted and WPD were great.

One thing specific to STDs is that Minted sells a petite (I think it's close to a 4x6) card, which I found was slightly less expensive than the STDs I liked from WPD. The full size STDs from Minted were more expensive than those from WPD. Overall, I liked more STD designs from Minted better (personal taste) and did not mind getting to take advantage of the price break.

Of course, WPD tends to have better sales, so that probably negates the argument for saving money with the petite cards from Minted. Shhhhhh.

We used WPD for our invitations. They came out just like we wanted, and they sent proofs to make sure they were right.

I used Minted for STDs and invitations. I couldn't find a design I loved anywhere else. A bonus for me was the address printing. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

We ordered ours on etsy. They were $6 an invite. The came fully put together. All I needed to do was put them in the envelopes and mail them. They came out cheaper then zazzle or vista print with the 3 inserts, pocket invitation piece, and the actual invitation.

I used WPD for our STDs and Minted for our invitations. I loved both companies, the quality was great and fast shipping. Bonus that Minted addresses the envelopes for you.

Well WPD totally screwed me over and their response was basically "sucks to be you". I've never used minted so I can't speak to them but I used elli.com for my invites and they were lovely.

I used WPD and they were awesome! I made a mistake in the proof on my invites and they re-printed all of them for me. I also used them for my rehearsal dinner invites and STDs and they were all beautiful.

Etsy. It was half the cost of Minted for everything. This isn't our actual invitation, but a sample sent by who we ordered from.

Wpd usually have a groupon that you can buy that takes 50% off $100 or $200 which is nice and what we did
