Wedding Information Packet for wedding party members

Elle, on January 20, 2015 at 6:22 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 72

I know this may seem like a little much, but I'm an overly organized individual, so please humor me. I drafted this packet that is rife with informational goodies for all of those involved in our big day. Pretty much everyone on the contact list on the last page will get a copy of this packet (via email, and will have a physical copy). I removed everyone's phone numbers from this particular version, so I could get a little feed back from you lovely ladies (I'm actually asking for opinions this time!). Is there any thing important you think I may be leaving out? Anything that seems a little redundant?

I think it seems well organized and thought out. I am a planner and things like this help me out a lot. Not everyone sees it the way we do, so just let your bridal party know you are trying to be helpful and organized and not a bridezilla (it could possibly come across this way) and don't be a drill sergeant about it, just be firm. With that being said, I think the info covers pretty much everything without being redundant.

It won't let me see. I am doing a final meeting in March just to see where everyone is, and to finalize everything. i think it's a great idea. Some may agree, some do not but in my opinion it you are a organized person this is perfect.

Thats awesome news. Yeah, I'm not going to be a drill sergeant about anything (except for when it comes to getting everything executed in a timely manner. I would really prefer everything to go smoothly and according to the time line). Thank you for reading it over! I'm glad it wasn't redundant, but I'll be sure to preface it with "This is just for your information... I swear I'm not a crazy person!"

I think this is really overwhelming but if it makes you feel better and more organized for your day then go for it!

I think its great and provides the answers to a lot of their questions. Instead of having to answer the same question over and over hopefully some of them will refer back to it. Your tone is sweet and not demanding, nice work!

I'm in awe! You certainly are organized! I'll admit, at first glance it seems a little anal but as I read the packet I began to understand how helpful it will be for your bridal party to know exactly what is going on and what is expected of them the day of. How many people do you have in your bridal party?

I'm really glad it doesn't sound demanding. I know it could be really overwhelming to someone who is not a type A personality, but I do hope they use it.

I love to plan and be organized and I love this lol. Is kinda like what I have planned to had it to my wedding party. Honestly your friends should know if your type A so should be expecting this lol. There were a couple spots where to me I thought it was a little too much but can't remember for sure unless I have it open at the same time lol.

i did something similar for mine. The GM loved it and the BMs well....... um they could care less. hahah

but i also had to send a list of 20 hotels in the area and went as OCD as placing below the address and ph#, how many miles away from the venue it is and how many miles from our house for refrence. I sent by requst mailed to every single person on my FH's family's side... 30 seperate pieces of mail not with the invite...

LOL i have it all on the wedding website so i am confused on why they cant use that? All use email/ FB etc...

ETA: I hijacked your post with a rant LOL sorry! but yours is awesome! I think its perfect for them!

We have five bridesmaids, five groomsmen, a flower girl, a ring bearer, and my brother and fh's sister are the ones going to be marrying us, and my cousin is doing the ceremony music, and my grandfather is doing a reading. So to answer your question: 10 bridal party members, but then 6 other people are involved in some way shape or form.

@Mrs Gee: No need to apologize, you didn't hijack anything. You gave me some good insight into how well received your information packet was!

@ Elle- I felt bad!! LOL but I did sent to a GM who's kids are our RB and GF so they had a seperate page for the kids attire. It had all of the attire stuff and where to get it ad deadlines etc. My FSIL(BM)and FBIL (best man) had a shared one! It helped out alot i think- i just have MOH drama so she was flighty.

I also added on the bottom ofthe Gm's:

"Please dont get my groom drunk the night before! The day of is totally ok but i need him standing LOL" Love, the bride!

I love this! I am also a person who likes to be in the know.

I am especially pleased with the fact that you noted who should remember the rings... my sister forgot DH's!! LOL

I love it! haha I might be following this for our group as well. It is very organized. The only thing I would probably include is pictures, and that is just because I am visual.

    Looks great!

I think it's overwhelming, personally, but if it makes you feel more organized, then go for it. If i got it, I'd feel a little like a potentially problematic kid, but then I'm ancient; you tell me where to show up and I do. Not everyone is like that.

Celia: I'm like that too, but getting our bridal party organized is kind of like herding cats, so I thought 'Better safe then sorry!'
