wedding in three weeks and not happy with my dress....what can I do?!

Molly, on June 4, 2012 at 8:32 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

I've been second guessing my dress and now that the wedding is almost here, I;m freaking out a bit. I don't know what to do! I love the dress, I'm just not sure that it's the most flattering and I'm really nervous about it. I just want it to "wow" my fiance and I'm not sure it's going to do that! I can't possibly get another dress in time and even if I did...I spent so much on this one! Help!!!

I have second guessed my dress a few tinmes and even went to try to see if there was anything I loved better and I kept falling back to my dress.. I love it. I do have a reception dres to wear but I love my ceromony dress the best. I think second guessing the planning and things we have is sorta natural thing to do.. specially with the wedding day rapidly approaching. I am sure our dress is super lovely but like Previous post said, post a pic and w'll give you some constructive feed back.. (((HUGS)))

    Ladies,

Thanks for your responses! I don't actually have pics of me in it, BUT I tried it on yesterday (it's been at my parents house so I've not been able to try it on again since the final fitting) only to find it was loose! I think I may have lost weight or something. So I took it to a local seamstress here in Maine and she pinned it and made me fell much much better about the fit! I'll post again once she's done and hopefully my dress regrets will be gone!

In case you're curious the dress is a WTOO Vanessa which is a tough dress to wear...not for every body type!

Your dress is beautiful! Honestly, whatever other dress you could acquire in 3 weeks is probably not going to have the quality and detail of this one. It's just a little case of the nerves, but with the alterations I'm sure it will look magnificent

I can't see doing anything to the dress that would make it "better", it looks great as it is. Maybe add a belt with some "bling" if you are into that sort of stuff?

The dress is gorgeous! Is it just the fit that's bothering you? I'm sure once the seamstress is done adjusting it you'll feel so much better!

I say try out the thirft stores. The bridal stores donate their wedding and bridemaids dresses to the thrift stores. In return the store sells them for a super low price. You can also try looking at the clearance dresses online at Macy's, davids bridal, other bridal, and retail stores. Don't forget to look at the prom dresses
