Hi there! I'm having a difficult time with this one. I want to use part of my mother's wedding dress to create something new (especially keep the beautiful lace overlay -- long sleeves, detailed, lovely -- and add an entirely new bottom)... and I have no idea where to go in New York City. (Manhattan preferred, but Brooklyn and Queens work well too.) I see a lot of boutique places to buy complete dresses, but where can I go to have a dress essentially constructed/altered with a lot of my own source material? (Would love it if it doesn't cost a fortune too.)
