Is my budget too small?

Let me see your dresses, what was your budget?

My dress, veil, and petticoat was only $650. Davids bridal will probably be your best bet. I love lace and simpleness, so this dress was perfect

Nope! I got mine for $600. A lot of people get theirs for even less than that. Just keep in mind when you tell the people on the store your budget that you should tell them your budget minus what you think you might need for alterations.

A good brand for you might be Kenneth Winston. They have great dresses between 550-750.

    Mine was $1400.

I need alterations but I'm so in love. I got my dress here a few weeks ago. It took 5 months

I think it's totally doable, take a look at sale racks or better yet sample sales! Good luck!

Has anyone ever bought from a website because the price and style is right and had good results? I haven't even thought about dress shopping yet, but I found a dress on a website that I fell in love with and I'm half tempted just to get that.

Depends on what style and how embellished you want it. Mine was $300 at DB. Alterations will probably be around the same at $300. So overall $600. You have a decent budget if you are willing to work with it.

Here is my dress. Got it for $550 at Davids Bridal. I would be a little leary of ordering one online, unless you knew the store. I have heard of people having good luck with etsy though! But those may run you more than $750

Sample sales are your best friend!!!! Add local dress shops on Facebook or Instagram and they will post about them. Or you could call the shops and ask. I also recommend going dress shopping and trying on styles so you know what you want when you go to the sales

Totally doable- I got a beautiful gown for 110$- no alterations needed.

The other one was like 650? - alterations were a bitch- 475 I think.

Mine was $750! They were selling the sample, so it was much cheaper than ordering a dress.
