Wedding Dress Rejects: Let's Play!

I love this! It was so hard to pick just one but not posting “the one” till after the wedding 😜

Oh my gosh I love this!! I kept every single picture cause I didn't actually try on that many!

This was the first wedding dress I tried on so I cried. Thought the bottom was so fun... ended up really disliking it in comparison to the others!

The bottom was far too plain for me and didn't even require a slip. Didn't love.

This is the type of dress I always imagined myself in.. But it didn't feel special when I put it on. She tried to make it better with this belt but it honestly made it worse! LOL

I tried to be a good sport about trying on all the dresses no matter what. But this monstrosity was just TOO much for me. I posted this picture on Facebook saying "I said yes to the dress today!" as a joke. People were so polite!! This dress was super not my style though!

3rd runner up. I didn't like the front as much but I loved that it had pockets! I also LOVED THE TRAIN.

I mean c'mon look at the back of this thing!!

This dress was my second choice. It was in my budget. It was fun and definitely fit my personality. When she added the appliqué on the belt that matched the lace detailing perfectly I about DIED. I was obsessed with this dress.

The back on this one was also really dreamy and wonderful.

This is the one I said yes to. I had seen it on Wedding Wire actually and LOVED it, then forgot about it. Favorited it on David's Bridal's website then forgot about it. Then saw it on the girl next to me at the fitting and loved it again... I guess I just knew all along it would be the perfect dress for me.

I am tiny so all of the big demo dresses just kinda looked odd! I found the one, however! It’s a one of a kind runway piece.

Oh my gosh, I SO want to participate, but with my profile as my own pic, I KNOW my FI would get snoopy one day, and I don't want to spoil the surprise!

Bought it for the renewal and lost 38 lbs and can't gain an ounce back (lost more after that). seamstress said it would lose all shape going from an 8 to 0 so I am gifting to a low income bride to be and starting fresh. This s some expensive unplanned weightloss.

Was very torn between the dresses these are only 3 of the like 10 I tried on... The others didn't even get pictures lol. I still think about the 1st one but seeing as how my fmil is paying for the dress I went with e cheaper of the 2 and her first pick lol I qm think in of getting it hemmed into a high low or trying to figure out a way to bustle it into a high low I definitely like the top of my dress more than the top of the 1st dress

Dress shopping brought back anxiety and stress of doing pageants and formals in my younger years (I am now 33). These first two were almost painful. Talk ab a pushy salesman saying things like “it’s on sale, no returns, and the last one. You should totally get it.” Wrong! I have never felt like such a WOMAN and so confident as I do in my dress. I can’t wait to see how I feel in it as I walk down the aisle!

My first shopping experience was at David’s Bridal and I was about 45lbs heavier than I am now. I had no specific type of dress in mind but I did like sleeves. I ended up not getting a dress at David’s Bridal and waited until after I had our son. About a year later I found a local plus size dress shop and got my dress from there. Love it!

Omg I tried on soooo many even bought and returned 2. Then the dress I thought I loved and kept going back to my body shape changed (down 4 szs) didn't look right anymore. I finally found one love it was so much fun.

I’m a little late to this discussion but I just love seeing all of these rejects compared to the one! Here are my rejects, the last one is the one I picked.
Dress 1: The first mermaid dress I put on, I did like it but it flared out too low which made my short legs look even shorter
Dress 2: I liked this one but it didn’t feel any more special than others I have tried on.
Dress 3: I REALLY liked this one just because it made me feel confident by showcasing my figure but I felt that it was a little too sexy for my wedding day.
Dress 4: This was my runner up dress. I fell in love with it and felt like a princess when I put it on. However when I decided to go home to sleep on it, I showed my family and friends and they did not like it AT ALL. My mom and I were the only ones that liked the dress. Because of that I had second thoughts and I decided to keep looking.
Dress 5: This is the one! So different from the previous one, I know. I seriously did not think I would find another dress that I loved as much as the previous one, but it did! In fact, I was way more in love with this one. All the perfect lace details and where its fitted and where it flares out truly makes me think that it was made for me. I cannot wait to wear it!
