On December 23rd I gifted my dress and a bridesmaid dress to a woman who couldn't afford a dress. It felt amazing to give her something so special to me that she will also get to cherish.

The is the first dress I tried on and the only "reject" dress.. although I didnt hate it. I ended up buying the second dress I tried on. Instantly fell in love with it. Made my mother cry lol. I won't post a photo but it's from Calla Blanche.

THese were my top 3 rejects.

I called this my "extra" dress. I didn't get it, it was too extra for me but I do think it's gorgeous.

The 3rd dress was the first dress I purchased back in 2016 when we first got engaged. Major dress regret + gaining some weight = new dress

The second dress is the one I ordered but the order was canceled because they stopped selling this dress. grr

the third is the one I "picked" twice but credit card issues (the bank wasn't open to get my David's Bridal cc #) stopped me from ordering. by the next day when I came back to order it, I had changed my mind. now I finally have (in my possession) a perfect dress!

Meh. Shopping was overwhelming. I didn’t really like anything.

I tried on too many...I’ve always known I’m indecisive, but once I started shopping I learned I was picky too! Here are some of my favorite “not-the-ones”

Of the rejects my fave was the first top left one with long train. Such a fantasy princess dress! But couldn't imagine wearing it all night dancing. The rest, just say I had a hard time dress shopping...

I love seeing all the rejects! I tried on five dresses before I found the one!

Dress 1- Thought I would love. There was just a bit too much going on in the back and the line at the hip wasn't super flattering.

Dress 2- Super flattering Essence of Australia dress. However, the sleeves were very uncomfortable and it was over budget. I also don't like see through bodices.

Dress 3- Really disliked, felt matronly. I realized I didn't like all over lace. Not many dresses that aren't all lace or blingy.

Dress 4- Realized my favorite shape is sheath! The only thing I didn't like was the low neckline..not comfortable for me.

Dress 5- Again, all lace felt outdated on me.

So, I tried on a few ball gowns and decided they weren’t for me. I’ve lost 80+ lbs and want to show off my figure. I love the back of the one dress in pic 4, but hated the front in pic 5. I loved the last dress, but my fiancé would hate the pattern of the lace. I ended up with a dress same shape as the last one, but more vintage lace. It’s in alterations right now and I’m completely customizing it with sparkly cap sleeves that create a deep V all the way in the back. The back is currently see-through lace and goes straight across. I’m so excited for it to be finished! Wedding is in 62 days!!

View Quoted Comment No but thank you !!!! The third picture was taken at Kleinfeld’s. I never went to RK bridal. I heard there selection is amazing but they dont take appointments which can be hectic. I ended up buying my dress (not pictured above) at Jaehee Bridal in Jersey but no one has seen it except my grandma, sister, mom, and future mother in law 😁😁😁
