Wedding decorations and attire

I wear a size 16/18 and was pleasantly surprised by how many dresses I could try on at every store I visited in the DC & northern Virginia area! I went to the Nordstrom's in Tyson's Corner that has a great wedding suite with dresses (and a beautiful try-on space!) I also went to a few stores in Alexandria and ended up buying my dress from Lovely Bride in DC.

One thing that helped me select stores was to start with dress designers who are known for carrying extended sizing, and use the 'retail store locators' on each designer's website to find local bridal stores! Maggie Sottero, Morilee, Essence Designs, Sophia Tolli, Watters, David's Bridal, BHLDN and more all have a variety of gowns in extended sizes.
