Wedding cancellations

My wedding is on June 13, 2020. I am still hopeful that everything will be okay during this time. I haven’t done any cancellations yet. What are your thoughts. This is a very difficult time for us ladies. After all the preparation and planning we did for our wedding. Let ‘s be calm and pray everything will be alright

I know it's hard, but I would wait until you're closer. A lot of advice I've gotten is that May brides should wait until April 1, so I would think maybe June brides wait until May 1? Hope that helps!

Just try to stay positive. This whole thing will end eventually as far as bans on people gathering. I would give it sometime. Wait till May like the PP said.

Exactly! Let's continue to hope that the 8 week guideline originally given is what we can follow. The thing is this just isn't going to disappear the virus, it's going to stay. They are trying to control the spread right now. Hopefully after the 8 weeks they at least lift the ban on gatherings. As long as we continue to practice good hygiene and staying home if we are sick, things will get better.

June 20 here. Still waiting and hoping, will not make a decision for at least 4-6 weeks. Not sure when to send out invites though - was planning early April but will now wait til at least mid April.

Hi judy! It's definitely a stressful time right now, and I know a lot of June brides are in same "sitting and waiting" camp!

You should definitely join this discussion where other June brides are talking about their COVID19 concerns: How are my fellow June 2020 brides feeling? Smiley heart

Hi! Same wedding date here, June 13th! Just got my wax seal stamp in the mail yesterday. 😭

I am holding out hope that we control the spread in these next 8 weeks and things can continue as planned. We are in the "wait to decide" category. Everyone understands if your invites go out later than normal because of this. Let's wash our hands, cross our fingers, and hope things calm down enough to have our celebrations this summer! 💖

Yay! Date twins! we're also in the wait and see category. My fiance is to the point that he doesn't want to change the date anymore, since we've messed with it so much already. Originally had it as 6/26/21, then 6/12/21, then 6/12/20 with a vow renewal on 6/12/21, to 6/13/20. It's been a roller coaster

June 12th will (hopefully) be our wedding day still! I'm waiting until the end of this month/ beginning of April to start sending out invites depending on what new information develops over the next few weeks. The plan is to let guests know that we are concerned about the virus and suggest guests that are feeling ill stay at home either with a note included with the invites or an update on our wedding website. I'd suggest waiting at least until the end of the month to decide what to do.

So far our venue recommended that we wait to see what will be coming up over the next couple of weeks and they will let us know right away if our event will need to be canceled (full refund for venue at least) or rescheduled.

I am praying for the best for all of us!

I am very hopeful that even with this difficult times I am still positive that it will be over soon. We planned our wedding ahead of time so we have invitations out and we are getting RSVPs from our guests. I also have everything set with our hotel. And we also have a lot of guests who are staying in the hotel. Let us keep our fingers crossed. Let us pray harder that this will be over and we will be able to have our dream wedding.

My wedding date is June 27th and we are keeping that date. The dynamics of the wedding itself may change but we are getting married that day. ❤️

I actually sent my invitations very early since most of visitors are out of state. We are also booked in the hotel and lot of the guests are booked as well. Everything is set up very early and we are really nervous that all our hard work will be put in to waste. But I am so hopeful and praying that everything will end soon and we will be able to enjoy the planning and will be able to proceed to
