Wedding cake budget

$150 max but getting it for cheaper. I am only getting a small two tier for the elopement. Will gladly feed the photographers and bed and breakfast owner and officiant.

Mine is sort of my package but they said if we want things that aren’t standard it’ll be an extra fee. I don’t know what exactly they deem extra so I’ll see in the next couple months.

We got my 4 tier cake that feeds 152 people for
$610! FH’s groom’s cake that feeds 52 people was $180, and we got an extra sheet cake that feeds 30 people for $35. We spent $835 on cake that’ll feed 234 people (223 people RSVP’d).

Nahhhh cupcakes lol. Wow $1,000 is a lot for cake. Have you checked home bakers? Are you doing a lot of tiers and an intricate design? I guess for that many it will cost but I think you can still find something lovely for half that cost but then again I do not know where you live and how much it is there. Also, a trick I have heard brides do is they have the cake for show and cutting and have a sheet cake in the back for service to the guests.

Ahhhh yeah that would cost $1,000. Listen my philosophy is if you have the money then spend it. It is your budget and your day and do what you want. I wanted a beautiful dress and great photographers so I am making sure to splurge there.

I didn’t initially have a budget but I know the idea of spending $600 on cake was ridiculous so I tried finding the cheapest option I could for the look I wanted and ended up with a $275 three tier cake

We are doing a smaller two tier cake and 150 cupcakes (5 different types) for $315. A cake wasn’t very important to us compared to other things, so tried to save there while still getting cake that tasted great 😊
