Wedding After Party?? What’re you doing after wedding?

A., on February 3, 2018 at 8:36 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 32
Hi all! My wedding will end at approx 10pm - some think that’s too early, but it’s what will be booked. Wondering if anyone is doing an after party, going to a local wine bar, etc after their wedding?

No afterparty here. Going to be spending time with the new hubby and then do a brunch the next day before heading back home.

Ours will be finished around the same time. We're just going to go home and sleep! We might have a brunch or something the next day though

Does the hotel you’re staying at have a bar you can rent out for the remainder of the night? You can always just go back and have an after party there with all your guests that are staying over. Or contact a local bar in the area if you want!

We will be using the hotel lobby where most guests will be staying for the night for a little after party. We will also be hosting a breakfast for our guests the next morning.

We’re going to one of our favorite bars for an afterparty. It’s a big Irish pub, and we’ve actually been there a few times when wedding parties showed up. Everyone loved it and got pretty excited.

Ours also ends at 10pm and people think thats too early which I thought was a suprise!

FH and I fly out for our honeymoon the next morning at 11am so we do not want to stay out super late, but we have been thinking about going out until 1 or 2 for the afterparty, afterall we can sleep on the plane.

My luncheon wedding ends at 3pm. We are going to have dinner and a cocktail party around 6 at the hotel. If people want to come hang out that's fine. We leave at 6am the next day for Mexico and we want to make our flights. We'll be tucked in by 9ish.

Our wedding is Aug 25, 2018 & will start at 4pm on Flordia beach. We're renting a beach house for the after party following the ceremony. We will party until the last one leave. I want my special day to last forever! #SmithAShore#Smiley ring

Our wedding is a daytime wedding and ends at 4pm. We rented an Airbnb and are having an after-gathering there, along with a taco guy to provide food! Super excited to relax/chill with my guests after the wedding. Then the bridal party is sleeping over there with us (it’s a 4 bedroom house)

For those doing an after party at a bar, are you planning on staying in your dress?

Most likely, people will move to the bar in the hotel. We are not hosting anything after our reception.

I only have my venue for 4 hours total, including the ceremony, so I'm definitely feeling the time crunch. We'll also be kicked out at 10, and the venue is around a bunch of bars, and I anticipate almost all of our friends will be heading straight out. I will probably either go to the hotel quick to change and come back out, or now that I'm thinking about it, maybe have another dress with me to quickly change into, and my parents can take the dress back with them. So we'll just be bar hopping. If I was younger I'd be out until sunrise, but 1 or 2 might be it nowadays haha.

We are getting a party bus after the wedding because all our guests are coming from out of town and we want to show them different spots

Even though myself and my fiancé love a night out without the kids lol I'm pretty sure with our wedding being at 4:30pm... reception beginning at 6pm and being over at 1:30am we will probably go to the hotel but we'll probably play it by ear because we'll have out of town family who still might want to hang out and here in NYC 1:30am is still early lol

Our reception ends at 9pm, so we might be doing an after party at a local bar with guests and some local friends we aren't able to invite to the wedding. I want to do it at the bar where FH and I met, but he doesn't think it's "nice enough" so we might do a wine bar. We're staying at the venue, so I plan on changing into another white dress - maybe even the one I plan to wear for the rehearsal.
