Weddibg bubbles? rice? bird seed? what are you doing?

Nan-sayy, on August 5, 2010 at 12:46 AM Posted in Planning 0 24

Im still undecided if I should get some wedding bubbles or not. I want/ don't want everyone to use them after we're just married and walk down the aisle as husband and wife. I want to use them because they are cute but do I really want them to use it? Im not sure is there anything else that can be used?

We are using confetti popper guns. Since we are getting married at my grandparents house we don't have to worry about any rules or regulations on what we use though.

Haven't thought about that one yet...but if you choose to use bubble--careful cuz it maybe slippery. Most place don't allow rice. So double check your venue before you purchase.

I'm thinking about having my little hostess pass bubbles out at the reception.

People clapped as we left. It was very eco-friendly. ;-)

Our guests were gone before we left. We didn't have a grand exit.

We used bubbles, our venue wouldn't allow rice confetti etc. Keep in mind we had bubbles there but no one used them, you cant control what people do. So for our exit everyone clapped. Which is probably best after thinking about it I probably would have left with bubble spots all over my beautiful dressSmiley smile

Definitely check with your venue first, many don't allow any "missiles" aka anything that can be thrown in any manner. Poses a slip hazard, and clean-up issues.

My BF's sister had everyone throw rose petals... when ther ceremony was over she had her wedding planner tear the roses petals off... since no one wanted to keep them and that is what we threw at them! it was cute but they do stain

Ours is a night outside wedding, so we are making cones filled with popcorn, and also a few sparklers. We didnt want all sparklers because it can get very smokey. But will look awesome in pics.

I am doing bubbles. I figure that is less clean up for the church after we leave. Any soap residue, the next rain will wash away if it doesn't take care of itself.

We're doing a balloon release as we leave the church (giving everyone a helium filled balloon) and as far as the reception, we might do sparklers, ehhhh, I'm not really worried/thinking about the exit.

We've talked about doing bubbles. With our venue, we only have the choice of bubbles or rose petals.

I was going to do rose petals but I think just clapping is probably what I am going to do. Then I don't have to assign someone to pass anything out, spend more money and be more eco-friendly!
