Veil or No Veil?

Are you going to wear a veil on your wedding day? If so, what style and length? Are you keeping it simple with a plain tulle veil? Wearing a blusher?? Did you fall in love with a veil with lace edging? Photo by Amelia Renee Photography in Des Moines, IA

I’m only 5’1’’ so I was worried a veil might make me look even smaller. I went with a crystal hair chain and drop-back necklace instead and received a lot of compliments.

I can't wear a veil because it reminds me of a costume and puts me in a panic 😂 but I may opt for a delicate "cage" or just some fun hair accessories. I'll decide closer to the actual wedding...

I want to wear a veil but haven't decided on which veil yet. I just think there is more mysterious-ness in covering the bride's face. When the veil is being removed, guests are going to be rubbernecking to see the bride's face lol. I have to see my wedding dress (which will arrive in January 2020) again to pick a veil.

I'm wearing a veil!! It's just one tier though. I just want it hanging behind me. I didn't like the thought of having a two tiered one with one tier in front of my face.

I am wearing a cape veil that my mother is making to match the dress. I don't love the tradition that veils came from, but my family has a tradition that my mother makes the veil, so I decided on the cape vail that will not cover my shoulders. Smiley smile Still trying to figure out how it is all going to work. It will have to attach to the back of my strapless gown (snaps on the inside???) and go around my arms (like at the bi-cep...) in a cap sleeve fashion.

Thats beautiful ! My Mother never saved her veil, but she did save her dress, which neither my sister or I wore because my Mum is so petite. I did wear my Mums blue garter though, as my sister did, and my daughter will wear it also.

I went to a wedding where the bride wore her Mothers gown AND veil. Rather then wear it over her face, she had it worn longer as a train, as the dress did not have one. It fit her perfectly, and wearing the veil that way made the outfit her own.

It will ! Please send in a piccy. I am sure you will look absolutely stunning !
I love fresh flowers in the hair. I did that, twisted into a wide horse shoe with my hair in a french roll. (No veil though as it didnt work with a handerchief hem ankle grazer 1920's gown)

I am planning on wearing a veil but torn between that or maybe a tiara and or flower in my hair... if I do the veil it will be in the back only so might be able to still do tiara but maybe that’s a bit much..
