I was not going to wear a veil, but my dad has this "dream" of me walking down with it over my face and pulling it back to present me to my husband. So I plan to wear a veil for the ceremony and then take it off for the reception.

That's adorable!! I always had that dream, but I don't actually like the look of over-the-face veils on me once I started trying them on haha. I'm actually going to have a cape veil attached to my dress, which I am super excited about! You should get your photographer to make sure they get the exact moment of your FH lifting the veil and you can gift it to your dad!
That's a great idea - I will definitely have to get that picture!! I don't exactly "love" it over my face, makes me feel like patting it away because there's something in my face. BUT I don't absolutely hate it so I am willing to suck it up for that short walk down the aisle I'm so glad you found an alternative!!
I wore a veil for photos only. It was cathedral length so we got an amazing “veil shot”. We had an outdoor wedding, so I did not feel the need for a veil during our ceremony. I’ve seen too many brides fighting the wind with their veil and didn’t want to mess with that.
I was 100% on not wearing one before I started on dresses. Once I started trying on dresses, the veil put the dress from prom to bridal for me. I will be wearing it for the ceremony only.
Yes! I am wearing a cathedral length veil. I’m back and forth whether I should have gotten a veil with a blusher but unsure. The tradition is beautiful - but is it necessary?
No veil for me! I've never seen a bride actually enjoy having her veil in as it either is too light and flies around outside or it isn't secured and falls out. I'm just going to have my hair done and then either do a jeweled hair piece or floral hair piece.
