Transportation for bridal party

Jess, on January 1, 2018 at 9:42 AM

I'm booking my last vendor: transportation. Do the dates of the bridal party ride in the limo/party bus with the bridal party and bride and groom or is it just the bridal party? I'm just trying to figure out how many seats I'll need in the party bus.

Make sure it is the whole wedding party you are transporting, not just the bridal party. The groom's party needs to be accommodated too.

I meant wedding party. Just so used to only focusing on the bridal side. Defiantly including groomsmen!

I just looked at your past discussions and there was a post asking how much alcohol you should budget for. Idk how it's not money related with that post. To answer your question on this post, yes they need to ride with you.

Because at the time of thy post, we were going to have alcohol because there were guests who would have drank. After sending save the dates, they told us they won't be coming because it's too far to travel and they just don't have the money to travel. Because they won't be coming, we have decided that we won't be having alcohol because it will go to waste and decided to use the money for other things.

FH family told us after receiving save the dates, they don't have the money to travel so they won't be attending. So yes, 80 people will not be coming.

With the weddings that I have been in, if the SO is not in the wedding party, they didn't ride in the limo. If you have a smaller party and can accommodate the SO's then it's your call if you want to extend the invitation but it's by no means considered rude or poor etiquette to have it WP only. Hope this helps you! And congrats Smiley shame

Besides, I've been to enough weddings as well as other family events with them all to know that they don't drink.

Will you have alcohol if any of those 80 people change their minds?

I think it’s up to you. You are the bride and you decide the ettiquite of the transportation.

I’m having a stretch limo/party bus. The alcohol issue is irrelevant. You don’t need to have SOs on it with their dates. I’ve been in a wedding and was glad that my FH wasn’t in the wedding because it meant I had a ride home whenever I wanted to leave.

We are hosting properly for our guests. We will not be serving unnecessary alcohol. It can sound however you feel, but we will not have alcohol unless the rare occasion that his family does decide to come, which is highly unlikely because they cannot afford the travel.

I realize you are new here, but no, you are not properly hosting.
