Now I need to think about how I am going to convey this is the theme. Should I put it in the wedding program? I am not sure if we are doing the seating chart or place cards. What do you all think? How can I get people to clearly get the theme?

Great idea! I had names of islands I had visited as the table names. A "passenger list" board telling the people their "destination" for the evening. "Passenger tickets" as place cards and little foam planes as the cardholders. My husband is an inspector on planes,so it pulled both of our lives together! the guests loved the theme!

I've been thinking about this. I have a lot of time on my hands... hubby works nights. lol.

Thanks Ladies! PP, yes please give advice. We are having 112 guest. That will be about 18 tables. I am letting FH narrow down the list. You all gave us some great ideas! So PP, please share your ideas.

I thought about taking the theme through the bridal showers and asking people to bring a dish with the recipe to the shower. I don't need much in terms of shower gifts so this would handle that issue too! Oh, and FH and I do pretty good in the kitchen so it will make sense to our guests... if we can figure out a way to convey the message.

And the final consideration is that our wedding is pretty formal. Take a look at my inspiration boards to get a sense of the style we are going for. Thanks again everyone!

To get the theme across- put them on recipe cards! Have the guest book be like a recipe book.

Don't list it in the program.
