Sweetheart Table or Head Table?

Which seating arrangement are you choosing for your wedding: a sweetheart table (just you and your new spouse) or a head table (you, your new spouse, and wedding party members)? Or maybe even a different option altogether? Share what you're choosing for your reception seating arrangements!

So we are going to have a sweet heart table and a head table if that makes sense. We will have our own table then we are going to have our bridal party and their significant others all at another table. One table on the grooms side with the groomsmen and their significant other, and then another table on the other side of us with the bridesmaids and their significant others.

We're doing a sweetheart table, because our wedding party is all family, and most of them have partners and they want to sit with them at their table instead of a head table. But a head table is a super fun way to make those who are closest to you feel extra special.

I prefer the head table. Because I want to share our happiness with the people that I hold dear. These are people I have know for years. I get sitting with your new spouse and it's just you and your s/o, some prefer that. But some of these people have shaped me and my fiance to the people we are now, so sharing a table only seems right to me.

Sweetheart table. I think with all of the activities leading up to the wedding, the option of a Sweetheart table allows for an intimate moment.

We are definitely doing a sweetheart table. We don't have a bridal party, but even if we did we would still do a sweetheart table. The wedding isn't about anyone else. Everyone is there to celebrate you and your spouse. The moment and space should only be shared with each other💞

There won't be a seating chart, everyone just picks a table to sit at, gives guest a chance to talk and get to know everyone.

We actually have both, our sweetheart table is on a stage and our bridal party has a table on each side of the stage

That sounds like an interesting venue setup! Are you planning on seating your wedding party with their plus ones?

Very cool! Are you seating your wedding party all together at their own table? Or will they be seated among the rest of the guests?

We have a sweetheart table provided by the venue! We will sit close to our immediate families during the dinner, then I am sure we will ditch the table to dance and party all night. Our wedding party is large, so they will be seated at longer tables close to the perimeter of the dance floor, then we will take the tables down for the party. The table also serves as decor within our ceremony.
