Sweetheart Table or Head Table?

Which seating arrangement are you choosing for your wedding: a sweetheart table (just you and your new spouse) or a head table (you, your new spouse, and wedding party members)? Or maybe even a different option altogether? Share what you're choosing for your reception seating arrangements!

Sweet heart. We won't be able to spend time from the night before until that moment. And then most likely will be pulled around the rest of the reception.

Sweetheart table. The 2 main reasons being so the bridal party could all sit with their partners/families and so to have little time together, often times at a wedding reception the bride and groom get pulled in opposite directions so its nice to have a moment together while still among your guests.

Definitely a Sweetheart table. And we will not be using any seating chart because we want our family and friends to be able to choose who they would like to sit with. We will have place cards at the door where they can pick there's up and put it on the table where they would like to sit.

Sweetheart table that is a wooden “farmhouse table with a chiffon runner. This is our second marriage. So are not having a wedding party. We each have 4 grown children. So we are having a 2 round tables offset and forward from the corner on his side with his kids and partners and his mom. And the table off my corner will have my kids their partners and my sister and brother-in-law. These tables are nearer to our sweetheart table than the rest of the guest tables.

We are doing the traditional head table because our children is the bridal party and it will be our first meal as an official family together. But if any different we would definitely do the sweetheart table.

Very cool! Are you putting your wedding party all at one table? Or will they be seated among the rest of the guests?

That's a very considerate reason to choose a sweetheart table! I'm sure your wedding party will appreciate getting to sit with their family members at the reception.

I loved having a sweetheart table for the same reason! We got a few moments during dinner to talk with just each other.

You bring up an excellent point about getting to spend as much time as possible with those who traveled to be with you!

We finally decided on sweetheart table. That way we don’t have to choose between people and the wedding party can actually sit with their partners too.
