Round! Feels better than getting stuck on the edge and feeling excluded

Our venue only had square and rectangle. And then we were sitting with our wedding party and some additional guests at the giant 34 person bar right in the center of the space.

I've always preferred rectangle tables, which is what our venue has! I just think they look nicer, like it's more of an affair - and even though guests will only talk to people around them, it gives the illusion of having more people at the table to talk to. I've been to a couple weddings where I was stuck at a round table with a bunch of people I didn't know while my family or friends were across the room, and it was annoying.

Sure, long tables can make it annoying to be at one end isolated from a bit of the conversation - but is that worse than being isolated from the other guests you know? Long tables make the transition between different guest groups smoother IMO.

I think that long tables are beautiful, and make stunning tablescapes!

Hi Jordan! Have you figured out how you will be decorating your tables yet? I love long-table tablescapes!

Such a tough choice!! I love the decor you can do with long rectangular tables, but I think round tables are better for conversation!
