Small wedding big reception

@Jennifer If you hate all of the regular posters so much why post on here? If someone is close enough for me to spend $100 a head for them they are damn close enough to watch me promise to love my husband forever. It's also nothing to do with entitlement.

@Gretchen - Actually we spend most of our time trading recipes, our plans for the night/weekend, advice on both wedding related and life related topics, and begging O&S for spawn pictures.

Hi @Jennifer do you remember me? I actually argued the other side but I was not attacked and the conversation did not get heated. Whether or not other users respect me (maybe they do, maybe they don't) they still respected my opinion.

If you can't properly host all of your friends and family at the ceremony, then they don't need to be at the reception, and vice versa. That's so insanely rude.

@OP, I get why people would be upset about having half the guests invited to the ceremony and the other half to just the reception, but if there's some reason you picked the people invited to the ceremony (immediate family only etc.), I really don't see a problem. I've had friends do this, and I didn't care. Where I'm from (not in the U.S.), almost nobody goes to the ceremony except family, and then like 600 people show up at the reception. I'm also not sure I see the difference between this, and an elopement/ private ceremony followed some time later with a celebration of marriage. Either way you're not getting to see the actual ceremony, so why does it matter whether the ceremony was the week before or a couple hours before?

Can someone provide a list of regular posters? Does anyone not on this list get any hate cause they didn't agree with the OP or is that reserved for a select few who share the opinion with many?

@Jennifer Other users have to censor themselves to the extreme because they get flagged for nonsense. I haven't ever been flagged so yes I will stay in this thread to see where it goes. I haven't broken the CG's have I? If I have feel free to flag me.

@Jennifer - You also are misquoting to make it sound like Spaghetti said something negatively when she did not. She said that she would hang around since she had flags to burn.

She didn't imply that she was jumping in to start shit - just that she doesn't have to be as careful as other's who tend to get flagged for silly reasons

I agree with Ashley. I only see a problem with this if you start inviting aunts/uncles/cousins/friends. Immediate family only is okay.

@Jennifer - You edited that post as it did not have the quote around it to begin with either. Also spaghetti did not deny what you said at all and she wouldn't have posted it in DC if she cared what others saw her say.
