So quick poll...I have a gorgeous ring that I never want to take off. Who here sleeps with their rings on or doesn't and why? What's the protocol here?

I take mine off at night. Sometimes my hands swell and it can be uncomfortable when I sleep. I have a ring holder on the night stand and put it on as soon as I wake up!
I take mine off at night because if I didn't, I'd manage to stab myself in the face with it as I slept. I did get an adorable bunny ring holder for when I take it off though!
I sleep with mine on, though some nights I have scratched my fiancé. Some people don't because if they smack the ring on the bedpost or something it could damage the ring.
I take mine off when I get home because then I start doing dishes, go to the gym, use cleaning product, etc. Mine is so beautiful I don't want to damage it. I might keep my band on more once I have it, we'll see.
I take it off right before bed, and put it back on the next morning after I've showered. I also take it off when I clean because of bleach (my ring is platinum).
I sleep with it on. Only take it off to deal with raw foods or if I'm using lotion or a ton of sticky hair product like when I'm hair spraying someone's curls and holding pieces in place I don't wanna spray my ring. FH hates that I shower with it on but I'm like it's not cheap my finger won't be green haha. And for applying makeup!

I sleep with mine on, I only take it off to shower or cook.
I asked around, did some research and even asked the jeweler where we got the ring. Nothing wrong with sleeping with it. So I sleep & shower w/ ring on, fear of losing it or forgetting to put it on. He spent all this money on the ring? Why take it off? That's my logic.
I sleep with mine on, I take it off to cook. In the beginning when I took it off to cook FH would have a heart attack, then (on purpose) I stuffed this years turkey with it on and he's now ok with me taking it off to cook lol something about it being rammed up a turkeys butt he wasn't thrilled with!
I don't shower with it or sleep with it. I can be a violent sleeper so I'm worried about scratching myself or FH and I don't want to damage it. In the shower, it's just loose enough that it could fall off with a good tug.
I sleep with mine on, I take it off for cooking if I'm handling raw meat or anything really messy, while doing dishes and while taking a shower. I should take it off at the gym but I don't
I take mine off when I sleep. I have a sapphire ring with small diamonds on the band and I've had to have two prongs repaired on that one that I damaged from wearing it to bed.
I want to append my post to say that I do take mine off if I'm showering, to avoid product buildup in the setting (which means I have to scrub the ring less often,) and I take it off if I am mixing food with my hands (meat for meatballs, bread doughs, etc) because jewelry harbors a ton of germs.
I am horrible about forgetting jewelry. Sometimes I forget it after cooking. I don't forget it after showering because I remove my necklace, bracelet, and ring and put them together next to my brush, so I HAVE to look at/notice them before I leave the bathroom.
I take mine off before bed because I move a lot in my sleep and have scratched my face, so I made it routine to take it off and put it back on in the morning. I also take it off when cooking, applying makeup or lotion and going to the gym. I have a few ring dishes throughout the house in convenient places so I can always keep up with it.

I pretty much never take mine off except when I'm washing my hair or doing the dishes. It has a really high setting so I probably shouldn't sleep with it but I always feel like something's more likely to happen to it when I'm NOT wearing it.
