Date twin! I actually purchased my dress yesterday after four days of searching! It ended up being my first dress I tried on (so cliche, I know). I did go with ivory, but tried on champagne and blush dresses. My advice to you is have some idea what you are looking for, but be open minded as you may like something you originally hadn't thought you would. Your consultant can really make your appointment or break it, I learned that one! My dress was $1100 because I bought it off the rack since the dress fit my like a glove right away!

Please excuse the giant clip, it obviously needs to be altered. This is Jasmine Haute Couture originally priced at $4,600 and I purchased it for $450.

Davids Bridal on sale for 699. I ended up getting White but I would have really loved a pink dress. David Tuttera changed my mind. I saw a show with a girl who was going to wear a big red dress and he told her that today was the one day you can wear a huge white dress. It made me really think I could wear a pink dress anytime but a white dress is very "bridal", so I went with white. Thanks David!!!!

Here's mine, I absolutely love(d) it!! Its Halona by Enzoani in ivory taffeta. Its from a boutique outside of Baltimore called Betsey Robinson bridals which was an excellent experience for any Baltimore-area brides out there!! It was just over $1,900 (not including tax and alterations).

I had two dresses. My ceremony dress was $199 on sale from $649 from DB. My reception dress was $199, not on sale. Alterations ran me about $400 to hem both dresses and altar the top of the reception dress. Pic 1 - my ceremony dress with my shrug (it was strapless, and I was cold), Pic 2 is detail of my ceremony dress. Pic 3 is my reception dress.

I chose white based of off what colors we had chose for our day. I found my dress at a cute boutique in Brooksville, Fl after visiting a bridal salon in my hometown.

Here's mine. Its ivory, but I wanted an ivory that looked pretty much white. I got it from a locally owned bridal shop in my town. Its Mori Lee 1957 and it was $1144

Mine is from David's bridal, originally $899 on sale for $674. The ladies there told me white dresses will totally wash you out in photos and its best to go for ivory or champagne.

@purplekitten @elizabeth even though it is none of your business and quite rude of you to say. My DEAD father saved every penny he ever made so that I could have this wedding. My father worked multiple jobs as an accountant (a high earning profession in the first place) and he owned several start up businesses. When he died my mother took over and she works multiple jobs as a sought after school psychologist. But thank you for being rude and judging my hard working family. And before you call me a spoiled brat, I have also worked as much as I could while taking a full load (19 hours) every damn semester.

I can't choose a dress but, these are the 3 I am considering... There's 2 Allures one is $1.2K, and the other is $1.5K. There is an Alfred Angelo from the Disney princess collection for $1.8k. The alterations in NYC run around $300-$600. It's a bit insane...
