Mike and I met in April of 2012 when our roommates (a couple) decided to introduce us at my apartment. They came over for dinner the night of his grandmothers funeral. We flirted via text message for a while and hung out at the apartment often. On April 29 we were out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and he said "So are we, like, boyfriend and girlfriend?" It was adorable and that's where it all began. We bought a house together in February 2014 and we are raising my 8 year old dachshund Phoebe and we adopted another 8 year old dachshund Dany in May 2014. For our 3 year anniversary in April we went engagement ring shopping and I fell in love with an infinity banded ring with a cushion cut stone and added a halo around it. I thought he would propose on the 4th of July since that is my favorite holiday. On June 4 I came home from work and we talked about our day in the kitchen. He pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him and I was in shock! And here we are. :)
