I am getting married next year, so I am preparing my wedding dress. Just wanna have a look at your wedding dress with some inspirations on me. Will everyone choose white or ivory as the color of wedding dress? Is it a must? All right, just show me your wedding dress, or what kind of wedding dress are...

Got mine for $250. I cannot imagine spending so much on a dress you will wear once. Think off all the other good deeds you could do with that money. Yikes.

I had looked around online and fell in love with the gunne sax dresses. Then one day I was in my tiny hometown at one of the antique stores and just happened upon it! Not only does it fit me like a glove but at the price of $65, I took it home with me.

I went to David's bridal after falling in love with the dress online. Well the one I loved online was the first one I tried on and knew it was "the one". My dress is ivory and I honestly didn't even know it wasn't white until someone said so. I think it goes better with my skin tone because I'm pretty fair skinned. The dress was on sale for $400 or $450.

I am on a super budget so I went the pre-owned route. Paid $300 for my Maggie Sottero Rhianna Royale. The only thing I need done is a bustle added!

Here is mine! I bought it at a small boutique in Ottawa, ON called McCaffrey's (recently closed Smiley sad ), however I am getting rid of the black sash as pictured and turning the back into a corset (with black ribbon), I am also getting rid of the train. I do apologize I do not have pictures of the back.

Edited to add: I paid $1,100 (sample sale), and alterations will cost $500.

@Erin, your dress is gorgeous and what an amazing price you got it at.

Mines from AA. I paid about $1050 on sale before alterations. It's an ivory/gold color.

@Nattie, mine was a Sofia Tolli from Eva's Bridal Oak Lawn too. Don't worry. They were AMAZING!!! Totally get your alterations done there. Worth every penny. The seamstress (cannot remember her name to save my soul) is a miracle worker. I had a side swept train and had no clue how she was going to pull off a bustle but she was able to do a 10 point work of art all included in the $350 flat fee. You are in GREAT hands. Can't wait to see you in your dress! I'm on mobile but I'll try to post a picture of mine. It was the Joan.

@PK, you asked what everyone else was thinking. My daughter is starting college next year and we are trying to figure out career paths for her. Thought we just found a good one. And @Lossen, before you get all offended, or more offended, the people on this board are largely no stranger to death and tragedy, including my own daughter who lost her father last year. So we do empathize. But read back through the posts on here, you have to admit, without benefit of the backstory, your price tag stood out a tiny bit.

Mine is Ti Adora 7407! It was $2,000 originally, but we got a 20% discount since the store is owned by the same people who FH bought my ring from. So we got the sash, veil, and dress for like $2,100 total.

Also these pics are from when I was all pinned up for alterations, hence why the dress looks a little weird and I look like I'm being stabbed. Because I was.

@kim0423 I am also on a Super budget and do not want to spend a fortune on a dress I will wear once, I would like to go the pre-owned route. Did you find a store that had pre-owned, not really sure how to venture into even begin looking.(wedding is next August 2018)
