Will everyone choose white or ivory as the color of wedding dress? Is it a must? All right, just show me your wedding dress, or what kind of wedding dress are...

@Jennifer (from page 2), I went to Melissa Ashley too! They're so nice and helpful there. Mine is a Casablanca, around $1200 before alterations (but needs very little, so that shouldn't cost much). This isn't the best picture since it's the sample and not the one in my size, but I forgot to take a picture of the real thing when it came in. I love it, though!

DB, $500 during a sale. I thought it was perfect for cooler weather and a formal church ceremony (Catholic Mass in Latin).

Rebecca, that is a sweet dress! You mass will be in Latin? Phew Mine will be bilingual, I'll lucky if FH doesn't fall asleep.

Mine is from DB. I originally wanted a lace gown but every one I tried on just didn't look right on me or feel right so this is what I ended up with

Thanks, gonefishes! Yes, we attend Mass in Latin anyway so it made sense for us. And we'll have Latin-English missals available for people who aren't familiar with it to follow along.

How is it "rude" to ask someone's profession? it's generally one of the first 3 to 5 questions you ask a person when you meet them.

I ended up with Stella York, Essence of Australia 5718 gown in ivory. It was $1,400, but I got $100 off for asking for a discount, and also got 25% off the veil. I intend to sell it after the wedding, though. I probably shouldn't have spent that much money. Hoping I can get $500 out of it or something.

After trying on over 20+ dresses I found this beauty. I ordered her in White. Going to start alterations this morning. The dress was $1500 with add on straps that are removable and alterations cap out at $300. I live in the suburbs of Chicago.

I actually bought my dress for $40 from Cato's, and the sash for $20 on Etsy. I saw it and was going to just grab it for my engagement pictures but I just love it so much. FH and I are having a very causal, small wedding. I think it's perfect b

My computer won't upload them (BLAH) but mine was Mary's Bridal 5703 from a local shop. About $800 and the alterations ran about $300.

Cost $2000, not including alterations but shouldn't be much more. Its from a boutique named What's Up Europe in Visalia, CA.

Mine is a sottero and midgley danica from Helene's bridal in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It costed $1800. I tried on the sample which was a satin ball gown in ivory with gold accents. I ordered it in tulle diamond white with pewter accents. Mine will be strapless. I'm anxiously awaiting it's arrival on Tuesday or Wednesday! Cannot wait!!
