We had a 4 tier cake/cupcake stand. The top layer was our anniversary cake and then we had three layers of cupcakes. I think our table was 48in but i'm not sure. the base of our tower was 24" x 24" if that helps.

ETA: some of those inspiration pictures are beautiful. What kind of cake are you having? You want the table to help show off your cake not over power it.

We didn't really care what the cake table looked like. It was one of those things we left up to our DOC and this is what she came up with.

Inspiriation. It will have a gold sequin table cloth as well.

Our cake stand was 18 inches, and I think our table was 30 inches. I think you'd probably be okay with the smaller size table. . .

Hi - cake was 14 inches around. Table was about 32 inches I believe.

Wow. I can't say I didn't think of this at all. I bought some cheap fake fall leaves to be strewn on our pumpkin colored linens, and we're going to have a few take away boxes set up - so people know they can take them with them. Other than that, it's not a detail I spent a whole lot of time thinking about.

@BunnyLove...I love the 3rd, 5th and 6th one. That 1st one is just sort of over whelming..I had to search for the cake in all that!

On your 3rd set of photos...a friend had sent me the 1st pic on Pinterest and initially I liked it, but then got concerned someone (maybe me) would trip and bring the whole cake down.

What are the colors for your reception?

I actually haven't put any thought into this until now and I found a couple I liked when I searched for them.

I have never seen these tables with the flowers around the bottom rim. How do they attach those?
