Show me your invitations that you had printed from an online printer!

CaliBride2B, on February 4, 2016 at 9:44 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 39

So I'm now debating if I really want to use vistaprint to print my invitations. I have the design but I've heard so-so things about their quality. Can anyone share pictures of invitations they've had printed from vistaprint or any other online printer like uprinting, mpix, shutterfly etc? Please indicate the printer and paper type. Thanks!!

I haven't got my printed from shutterfly yet, but they do have a sample pack you can order to feel the paper quality. I'm definitely upgrading the paper but it seemed good to me especially for the price.

I got mine at Minted.com, they had the nicest options from all the online printers I saw. They can customize everything and give you all the proofs you need to make it perfect. I love mine and think the quality is great. The only thing I wish I knew was that these are to big to be glued/taped onto pocket folds and since I got the edges scalloped they can't be cut...(I was told by our paper store when I went to buy pocketfolds that this is the case for most online printers) It does save money though since I don't have to buy the pockets, or extra postage. I did order custom anchor belly bands from Etsy to keep everything together. If you do order online make sure you do it when they are having a sale, from what I saw they will have a 15 -25% off code at least 1-2x a month.

    Hope this helps!!

Go to Catprint!! It's a printing company based out of New York, and they are super inexpensive. I really wish I had a pic I could upload for you! They sent over 15 different paper options.

Like the other users have recommended, most places will have a sample pack they can send you free of charge. I got one from Minted, Wedding Paper Divas, Vistaprint, and Catprint. Catprint sent me the most variety of paper options, and their pricing averages about $.50/invite. You can even order in any quantity you want, such as 37 vs. 40. I actually bought a digital design off Etsy for $12 for my save the date, and then uploaded it to Catprint. They sent me a free proof, too! In total it cost me $60 with shipping for 75 invites. They came out gorgeous! Good luck to you!

I don't have a picture handy, but I used Vistaprint & I think they turned out beautiful. I did save the date cards first as a test.

I got samples from Catprint (free!) and they were nice quality. I'm going to print mine myself, but if I wasn't I would go with them. I threw out the samples or I'd post pictures for you. They only took a few days to get to me though so definitely request some! They'll also send you a proof of your invitation for free if you request one

Use vistaprint and upgrade to their nicer paper. We used premium glossy or something like that for our save the date, and premium matte for invites, and they look great.

I just ordered my vistaprint ones. To be 100% honest I'm not that impressed with the quality of the printing. I also paid to upgrade the paper. The text just doesn't seem "crisp" to me... And I'm 100% the file we loaded in from Adobe was very high quality.

I love our design work, my FH drew it for us

There is also a weird black smug on all of them above his cow cartoon head Smiley sad

The envelopes they came with are thin and worse than ones you buy at a Craft store.... I'll proabably go buy craft store ones and use these around the house for mail and whatnot

They charged $9.99 I think for shipping. So all together for 80 non foldable invitations it was around $40 bucks

I got my save the dates from vistaprint. I upgraded to the heavy matte recycled paper, and I kind of love it. I plan to use them for my programs and guest book cards.

I used to be a print buyer so I'm very knowledgeable about paper and kind of a paper snob! I ended up having custom invitations designed and printed through an Etsy shop. I spent more than I'd like, but my invitations are unique and gorgeous. I'm very happy with them and glad I didn't go with another online printer.

I used vista print for our STDs. They came out gorgeous. I had expectations of them being so so. I couldn't have been more wrong. The quality was so good. They were perfect.

I used exclusively weddings. We're date twins so I rushed to buy these last weekend since they had a 30% discount. I ordered 150 invites, reception card and RSVP card. The envelopes are lined and the return address will be printed, all for $200. The biggest issue is they take 2 weeks to print :-(
