Should I invite friends to my after party..even if they're not invited to the wedding..

The after party wouldn't be a gift giving occasion, so I think that would be fine, assuming your friends understand your situation. My old roommate said that she'd be fine with a similar scenario, she understand not everyone can have a huge wedding. If you think your friends would understand, and you make it clear it's just to celebrate if they'd like to join, then I think it should be fine.

I think that is a great idea if you are picking up the tab for the after party. I would do separate invites altogether, perhaps an e-invite to cut down on the cost.

If you are not picking up the tab, than I would make sure you make your guests aware and also emphasize that no gifts will be expected.

Hola Mayra! A mí me parece una buena idea. Aquí se hace algo parecido. La celebración formal y costosa con los parientes y la informal -por ejemplo el brunch del día después-con los amigos. En esta última todos colaboran y traen algo para el buffet -algo dulce o salado- en vez de regalo. He estado en un par de estas celebraciones y me encantó ser parte de la fiesta y colaborar y cocinar para mis amigos. Aparte es como todos están menos nerviosos y se disfruta mucho. Saludos!

I think it is a good idea to invite your friends.

Why not?? everyone loves a good party IMO, as long as the people you invite to the after party are aware of the situation as to why they weren't invited to the wedding itself, and they aren't expected to bring a gift, i say go for it!!
