Searching for a NON-UGLY Mother of the Bride Dress

I totally agree with you, most MOB's are hideous. I could be a MOB in the next few years or so (hopefully more like 10 years!), and I wouldn't wear any of the one's they advertise as MOB..yuck!!

Both my mom and my future mother in law bought their dresses at Kohls. I can't find the one that my mom picked but the picture below is the dress my FMIL bought. Both are very fitting for the lovely women that will be wearing them.

My mom is having a hard time too, even though she started looking. I gave her only one condition, that it CAN'T be a MOB suit. They are way to matronly for her, she isn't 80. So instead she is just looking at nicer summer dresses, and bridesmaids dresses, because my wedding is in the summer. I don't think very many people actually go with MOB outfits.

My mom got hers at Alfred Angelo. She looked at BM dresses but then decided on one of the long skirts in the MOB section with a gorgeous top. She doesn't dress up too often and she looks amazing in it.

Heres what my moms looking at. it comes in a ton of colors too where the under layer that is white can be changed and so can the top layer. my mom is doing a bright purple under the black overlay. its from the jordan fashions caterina collection

My mom wore a homecoming dress she bought a davids bridal. it was strapless, fire engine red, in a mermaid cut and she looked hot! mob dresses are so frumpy and old ladyish.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions! It is SUCH a challenge and I can't understand why!

The person who designs a website/store that sells pretty, flattering, and reasonably prices MOB dresses could be a millionaire; ah we can hope right?!

The pictures of all the dresses are pretty; hopefully we can find something just as nice so my Mom can look wonderful :-)

I believe we bought my moms dress at nordstroms... I didnt want her in an ugly mom of the bride looking dress at all!
