I met my fiance when we were hanging out with a group of mutual friends. At the time I was dating someone else, and so was he. That's the way it went for the next couple years. We always felt like there could be more between us, but when one of us was single the other one would be in a relationship! After I moved out to Victoria for a while, we started talking more and more. Eventually we got talking about "us" and it ended up that we both wanted to be together despite the distance between us. We decided to not start officially dating until he came out to see me for my birthday, which was a couple months away. When he showed up a day early to suprise me, I could barely keep from crying! I was so happy to see him, and be able to hold him in my arms, that right from that moment I knew it was meant to be! A couple months later he moved out to Victoria to be closer to me, becasue the distance was unbearable for both of us. When he decided he didn't like it out there and wanted to move back to Drumheller, I knew I had a big decision to make. Either move back with him, or stay in Victoria. I didn't like the thought of being away from him again, so I moved back. Then the weekend before Christmas he proposed to me! With, in my opinion, the most perfect ring! It wasn't long after that we set a date, and now we just have to do the planning, and get through the big day, and we'll be married! <3
